BREAKING A Judge just blocked the deportation of the Bronx ICE target:
A federal judge has blocked the deportation of Oscar Bergal, the man shot by an ICE officer during a targeted enforcement operation in the Bronx Thursday.
DHS describes Bergal as an illegal immigrant from the Dominican Republic with a grand larceny conviction and associations with the Trinitarios gang.
In an order issued Friday, Judge J. Paul Oetken ruled Bergal cannot be removed from the United States without another court order while his petition challenging his detention is pending.
The judge also restricted transfers—allowing him to be moved only to facilities within the Southern or Eastern Districts of New York, or the District of New Jersey, without further court approval.
DHS says Bergal was transferred to an detention outside of New York due to his criminal history and flight risk.
The order does not direct his release. It remains in effect unless the judge assigned to the case changes or lifts it.

DPS’ mission to protect and serve doesn’t always involve people – sometimes our wildlife need a helping hand, too.
Yesterday on patrol, Trooper Raymond Torres found an injured owl in the center median along I-10 near Van Horn. Trooper Torres looked after the owl until TPWD arrived to transport him to the elpasozoo, where he is receiving medical care.
As a Trooper, you never know what each day will bring. Moments like this remind us why strong partnerships with other state agencies and the community are so important.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Firefighter / Medic Charles Jones, who died Thursday, October 8, following a medical emergency after responding to a structure fire on Monday, October 5, 2026.
For 19 years, Firefighter Jones was a valued member of the Council Bluffs Fire Department, responding to emergencies and helping residents during some of their most difficult moments. He will be remembered for his contributions to the department and the many lives he touched along the way.
“Charles Jones dedicated 19 years of his life to protecting and serving this community. His passing is a tremendous loss for our entire department,” said Chief Robert Schoening. “We are grateful for his service, his friendship, and the lasting impact he made on those who had the privilege of working alongside him.”

Trump just made a deal with Putin for Russia to supply us with diesel fuel. Not only is that massive for gas prices and the midterms, it’s a great sign for potential deal to end the war in Ukraine, and it confirms that Trump and Putin are on the same page.
This also leads into my overall thesis that control of Greenland/Canada is not just about National Security, but I think the plan is for normalized relations with Russia, and Arctic maritime routes could be the gateway between US and Russian trade, which will reshape the global economy.
Trump might have just made the massive move that will bring down the global price of oil, right before the midterms, and Putin helped him do it.
What a timeline we are on.
