The U.S. Coast Guard revealed that it had seized about $367 million worth of cocaine and $11 million worth of marijuana in international waters over the last two months. The Coast Guard offloaded the contraband at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale Monday morning. A video posted on the Southeast division’s Twitter page shows the drugs wrapped up in bundles and stacked on pallets. In total, there were 27,300 pounds of cocaine, and 11,000 pounds of marijuana, according to the Coast Guard. The drugs were rounded up during 18 interdictions over a two-month period throughout the Caribbean Basin and the eastern Pacific Ocean off the coasts of Mexico, and Central and South America, Tampa Bay’s Fox 13 reported.👮🏻♂️

A father-of-five rushed to the aid of his nephew and his nephew’s pregnant girlfriend during a robbery attempt and shot dead a teenage suspect in Argentina last week. A home surveillance camera in the city of Longchamps captured the shocking moment when a group of three muggers fired at Claudio Ramón Pardo's nephew, Ezequiel, 27, and his nephew’s pregnant girlfriend on Thursday morning. After Ezequiel tossed his car keys and a cellphone over the gate to his assailants, his 46-year-old uncle stepped out of a second-floor door and started firing at the suspects with his handgun.
Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar was one of just two Democrats to vote 'present' on a resolution recognizing the Armenian genocide at the hands of the Ottoman Turks a century ago. Omar, who in the past has said the U.S. was 'founded on genocide,' voted present on a measure that passed the House Tuesday by a vote of 405 to 11. Sensitivity toward Turkey's strong opposition to the legislation has kept it at bay in the past. The invasion angered members of both parties who are seeking protections for ethnic Kurds who fought alongside U.S. troops in the battle against ISIS. The Democratic-controlled House voted 405-11 in favor of the resolution, which asserts that it is U.S. policy to commemorate as genocide the killing of 1.5 million Armenians by the Ottoman Empire from 1915 to 1923.
A small plane has crashed into a home in New Jersey setting at least two properties alight and leaving the pilot unaccounted for. The FAA said the twin-engine Cessna 414 came down in Berkley Avenue in Colonia at 11am on Tuesday, just several hundred yards from Claremont Avenue Elementary School. Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac said only the pilot was on-board and that no one was injured on the ground. The condition of the pilot is unknown and there was no one in the home hit, he confirmed. A woman in a nearby home managed to escape without injury after the flames spread there, McCormac added. Images from the scene show emergency crews on the residential street as fire crews battle the flames. 🔥

Similarly in Northern California, some 40 school districts in Sonoma County canceled classes, as did the University of California, Berkeley, which had no power because of the outages. With no rain and more wind in the forecast, the coming days could be grim.…
About 1,100 firefighters were summoned to Los Angeles County to fight the flames overnight, desperately spraying the Brentwood area. But as of early Tuesday the inferno is just 5% contained. Firefighters are working around the clock to subdue the flames before the Santa Ana gusts, also known as 'devil winds', hit Tuesday night into Thursday with vicious 70mph blasts that could easily spread the fire. The Getty Fire is just one of 17 devastating wildfires burning across California as of Tuesday, razing more than 94,000 acres of land. The fires have sent tens of thousands of locals fleeing, left millions without power, and turned the ocean in Malibu pink with fire retardant. Celebrities are standing up to support California firefighters as they tackle the state's catastrophic fires. 🔥
Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the National Security Council's top Ukraine expert, told House impeachment investigators on Tuesday that the White House transcript of the July call between President Trump and Ukraine's president was 'mostly accurate' but missed key words or crucial phrases that he tried - and failed - to have corrected. Such omissions, Vindman said, included Trump's proclamation that there were recordings of former Vice President Joe Biden discussing Ukrainian corruption, and direct mention by the country's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, of the energy company who employed Hunter Biden to its board, Burisma Holdings. Vindman told investigators he tried to have the reconstructed transcript made by White House staff changed to include the missing information. Though a number of his edits were made, the two listed corrections weren't. #fools
