BREAKING: Greg Lui, 38, a.k.a. Yiu Kong Lui, and owner of a San Gabriel Valley-based technology company, was arrested today on a three-count federal indictment charging him with smuggling to China more than $300 million worth of export-controlled high-end computer servers containing U.S.-manufactured graphics processing units (GPUs) commonly used for Super Intelligence (SI) applications.  Lui is charged with one count of conspiracy to violate the Export Control Reform Act and the Export Administration Regulations, one count of outbound smuggling, and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.

NEW: A Woodbridge New Jersey police officer who suffered neck and back fractures after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday night has been identified as Officer Alexander Rebelo.

Police said Rebelo positioned his marked patrol vehicle in the northbound lanes and got out to assist the individual, who continued walking in traffic despite the officer's commands.

Several vehicles stopped as the situation unfolded. Rebelo pursued the individual in an attempt to protect him when he was struck by a passing vehicle, according to police.

The driver immediately stopped, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Rebelo was taken by Woodbridge EMS to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with a fractured neck, fractured back and lacerations to his face and head. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for his recovery🙏🏻

NEW: Former Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy Eddie Duran has been found not guilty of manslaughter for the shooting death of Air Force Airman Roger Fortson in May of 2024.

A jury on Thursday, Oct.1, returned the verdict in the case of the deadly shooting at an apartment complex in Fort Walton Beach. Deputies at the time said they were responding to a domestic disturbance in the same complex, but not at Fortson’s apartment.

Duran went to Fortson’s apartment and knocked several times before Fortson opened the door with the gun in his hand. Duran quickly fired five shots, killing the airman.

Duran argued that he was fearful for his life when he saw the gun in Fortson’s hand, though the gun was by his side and pointed at the floor.

SPOG members, along with other City employees, have also filed a class action lawsuit related to inaccurate pay and underpayment concerns. Now, the City has acknowledged another significant payroll error affecting hundreds of SPOG members.

SPOG members did not create these discrepancies, and they should be able to rely on the City to accurately calculate their wages.

We look forward to working with the City to carefully review these discrepancies, verify the accuracy of every affected member's pay, address outstanding underpayments, and ensure that any resolution is handled fairly and in accordance with our collective bargaining agreement and Washington law. One More Wave. A Tribute to CHP Officer Brian Liles. End of Watch September 28, 2026.

Officer Brian Liles dedicated more than sixteen years of his life to serving the people of California with the California Highway Patrol.

On September 28, 2026, Officer Liles was killed in the line of duty while serving in the Visalia Area.

Brian served in San Jose, Hayward, Fresno, and Visalia during his career and was recognized as the 2024 Visalia Area Officer of the Year. After completing CHP motorcycle training, he became one of the first motorcycle officers assigned to the Visalia Area.

But beyond the uniform and the accomplishments, Brian was a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a friend, and a neighbor remembered for his smile and the simple wave he gave to those around him.

A student at Benjamin Franklin High School in Highland Park jumped to his death after being attacked and chased out of a classroom. It appears the kid who punched the victim then followed him out of the class where the victim is seen jumping over the railing of a 4th floor balcony. 

Do you think is the LA teacher’s union UTLA didn’t remove LAUSD PD school officers from campus this would have happened? Teachers are not meant to be security guards or police officers. And the question lingers: who will be held responsible?
