NEW: An officer was injured by a person of interest in a hit-and-run he was investigating in New Hampshire on Tuesday, police said.

A good Samaritan helped the officer take the person of interest, identified as East Kingston resident Joshua Horgan, into custody, Exeter police said.

The hit-and-run was reported near a Dunkin’ on Portsmouth Avenue in Exeter, police said, and the officer found a person of interest in Stratham, near the Exeter town line. But the man, later identified as 25-year-old Horgan, attacked the officer, police said.

NEW: An Aston police officer was injured Friday night when a subject fled a vehicle, which rolled back into his police cruiser.
Aston Detective Sgt. Mike Ruggeri said the officer was getting out of the vehicle when it was struck.

NEW: Arizona Fire & Medical crews rescued a person this morning on Salome Highway in Tonopah after a silver Tacoma was found on its side in floodwaters. The person in need of rescue was found on top of the truck.

Officials say the person did not need to go to a hospital and no other injuries were reported.
