The Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police was represented at the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association Fall Training in Norwood, bringing the FOP perspective to a room of more than 400 chiefs and command officers.

Massachusetts FOP Vice President Rich Shailor spent the day speaking with law enforcement leaders alongside attorneys Scott Dunlap and Austin Joyce.

Events like this provide an opportunity for members of the FOP to connect with law enforcement leadership from across the state, share perspectives and strengthen relationships across the profession.

And, of course, no Massachusetts law enforcement event would be complete without giving the cakes some credit, too.

Corporal Carola Tolleson with the Bexar County Texas Sheriff's Office died early Monday after an off duty medical episode. She was 61.

Tolleson started her law enforcement career with the agency in June 2022 and graduated from the detention academy on Sept. 9, 2022. She was promoted to corporal on Sept. 21, 2024

🚨DEMOCRAT SOCIALIST-ENDORSED CANDIDATE ARRESTED FOR RIOTING AT ANTI-ICE PROTEST🚨

Texas DPS picked up an Austin City Council candidate Saturday morning on a riot charge after troopers say he dragged barricades and sandbags into the street at an ICE protest.

Misael Ramos, DSA-endorsed Democrat running in District 1, was booked at Travis County at 9:31 a.m. Class B misdemeanor: participating in a riot.

Personal bond $1,000.

Out after about eight hours.

Just in time to hold a press conference to complain about ICE and being arrested for rioting.

The protest where Ramos was arrested was in relation to an incident where ICE reportedly injured delivery driver Wilber Rafael Garces Perez in North Austin.

Ramos’ arrest affidavit cites open-source video of Ramos “dragging a traffic control device and sandbags to obstruct the street.” Troopers and CID spotted him walking a dog on the 2400 block of Manor Road around 8:45 a.m. when they took him into custody. APD had already booked three others from that protest.

Jesús Soto-Parada, an illegal alien from El Salvador, was sentenced today to 63 months in federal prison and ordered to pay $17,815 in restitution for seven Southern California robberies.

He committed at least six robberies before being deported in April 2024. He then illegally reentered the United States and resumed his crime spree.

In each of the seven robberies, an accomplice used a firearm or replica firearm to threaten store employees. Soto-Parada pleaded guilty to conspiracy and seven robbery counts.

Today’s sentence holds this criminal illegal alien accountable with several years in federal prison. He will then face deportation.

NEW: A Warren Township Indiana school bus flipped in a crash involving an Indiana State Police pickup truck along Interstate 465 on the east side of Indianapolis Tuesday morning. 

Indiana State Police said that "no critical injuries" were reported in the crash.

- 8 kids transported by ambulance. 1 serious condition, 7 stable.
- 5 adults transported by ambulance. All stable.
- 16 kids taken by bus for evaluation. All good condition.

BREAKING: Two Chinese nationals have been federally charged with allegedly using U.S. passports belonging to real American citizens to enter the country through John Wayne Airport in Orange County.

The DOJ says biometric scans exposed the alleged passport mismatch. Both are in federal custody.

The warm sector of a storm system is getting energized by the moisture plume of Hurricane Polo that just passed over the Baja Peninsula. This cyclone will poof into a jet streak, and excite a strong low-level jet - the nose of which is forecast to reach as far north as the I-70 corridor by late afternoon and evening.
