The Biden Administration's wide open border and radical soft-on-crime policies led to thousands of terrorists invading our country and threatening our national security.

Not under President Trump's watch. These terrorists are being arrested and removed from American streets.

WATCH LIVE: President  Donald  J. Trump announces plans for massive Iowa steel plant

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1Fzwccs3WJ/

POTUS: "Today, we're thrilled to announce that Mesabi Metallics will be building the largest steel plant in American history in the great state of Iowa."

"This announcement is only possible because of the pro-American policies of the Trump Administration... Soon after my inauguration, I imposed powerful 50% tariffs on all foreign steel — and now, our steel industry is roaring back to life."

EximBankUS Chair John Jovanovic: "What we're really talking about today is America's economic security — and Mr. President, it's your plan in action

Secretary Howard Lutnick: "These are your 232 tariffs — the steel tariffs — at work. Without those tariffs, this mine doesn't get built and this steel plant does not get built."

Secretary Wright: "This is the Trump reindustrialization of America hitting the ground at serious scale."

NEW: ICE has lodged an immigration detainer against a 31-year-old illegal immigrant from El Salvador accused of distributing fentanyl near a Virginia school.

•Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.
•Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute fentanyl.

ICE says Melendez-Carranza illegally entered the United States after wading across the Rio Grande from Mexico. Border Patrol encountered him near Hebbronville, Texas, in April 2016.

Thank you to Captain David Ollis of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Rangers for joining me last night as we presented more than $49,000 to several youth organizations serving our local communities!

Giving back is at the heart of the Sheriff’s Rodeo. Thanks to the incredible support of our sponsors and everyone who purchases a ticket, we’re able to turn a great community event into an opportunity to make a real difference for local organizations and the young people they serve.

Thank you to everyone who helps make this possible year after year!

Today, we face one of the most difficult moments an agency can endure as we announce the loss of one of our own. Trooper Hayden Phillips, Unit 369, made the ultimate sacrifice while patrolling I-65 in Warren County. He was assigned to Post 3 Bowling Green and was a graduate of Cadet Class 103. His dedication to duty and commitment to the commonwealth will not
be forgotten.

Our hearts break for Trooper Phillips’ family, loved ones, and fellow troopers as we grieve this tremendous loss. We will carry his memory with us, honor the life he lived and the badge he wore, and stand together as an agency to support this family in the days ahead.

-Colonel Phillip Burnett, Jr.
