NEW: Unions for California police and firefighters came close to sweetening retirement benefits for their members, but the memory of California’s pension crisis ultimately was too much for Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Newsom vetoed a bill that would have enhanced retirement perks for police and firefighters despite near-unanimous support from state lawmakers and heavy pressure from public safety unions.

Newsom in his veto message wrote the bill would partly reverse a 2012 law that former Gov. Jerry Brown championed when California’s major funds were spiraling from Great Recession losses.

Elon Reeve Musk is single-handedly responsible for making EVs viable, he’s going to space, providing internet to impossible areas (like my airstream on my burned lot).

As an unrepentant capitalist, he’s done more tangible good for us than every socialist politician combined.

The EV thing is extra funny. He did more for the “green” movement than anyone on earth, yet it’s the turbo-woke climate activist types who have the most irrational hatred of him.

"It's really the Industrial Revolution — maybe bigger," says President Donald J. Trump on Super Intelligence.

"It is, in fact, bigger than the Internet. We're leading, and we're building trillions of dollars worth of places. Why should we give that up?"

POTUS: "The big problem is the refineries in Russia are being blown up. This isn't really a Middle Eastern problem, this is more of a Russia problem — that Ukraine and Russia are going at it and Ukraine is blowing up diesel refineries in Russia because they do a lot of refining."

POTUS on Iran: "They have no economy. The value of their money is, as they say, valueless. They have inflation now of close to 300%... Their money is shot. Their economy is shot. Their military is shot. They're in trouble."
