This is Ormond Beach Police Officer Austin Long who was shot by a suspect in the hospital in Daytona Beach overnight.

He is expected to make a full recovery.🙏🏻

A Florida man suspected of attacking an elderly couple outside Daytona College on Sunday is also suspected of fighting with an Ormond Beach police officer at the hospital, grabbing the officer's gun, and shooting him in the leg, according to the Daytona Beach and Ormond Beach police departments.

Please, praying for the Wisconsin State Trooper who was seriously injured in the line of duty this morning.🙏🏻

A Wisconsin state trooper was severely hurt after falling from a bridge deck while responding to a pursuit near Eau Claire.

According to a statement from the Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper Bradley Ritger was severely hurt on the morning of Sept. 21, 2-26, while responding to a traffic incident on I-94 in Dunn County.

The statement goes on to say Trooper Ritger deployed a tire deflation device on a bridge deck west of the Dunn County/Eau Claire County line. After deploying the device, Trooper Ritger moved to get into a position of cover and fell over the bridge deck onto 490th Avenue, several feet below the bridge. Life-saving measures including CPR were administered. Trooper Ritger was taken to a nearby medical facility where he is currently being treated.

A York student got dragged off her porch and beaten unconscious. A woman at the meeting was offended by the word "uncivilized."

On the 300 block of West Jackson Street near York College, female students sitting on their rental porch asked a street-race crowd to get off the property. One victim told FOX43, "I turn and see my friend get dragged by her hair down our porch steps and disappear."

Another said she was hauled to a stop sign and kicked by about a dozen people at once, then blacked out from a kick to the ribs and a blow to the head while a circle filmed her.

Three juvenile girls now face charges that include felony riot and simple as$ault.

Then came the civic seminar. A resident on camera said, "To me, that feels like you're saying that the juveniles in this incident are uncivilized, and I am personally offended by that analogy." She then started assigning blame to the victims, asking what the college would do to put in check the off-campus students.

It happened Monday afternoon near the intersection of Griffin Road and Davie Road.

Police said the officer involved in the crash sustained minor injuries.

NEW: A Blaine police officer was injured after being thrown from a car during a DWI investigation on Monday afternoon.

Witnesses said the car backed up quickly, stopped abruptly and then went forward quickly, causing the officer to be thrown from the vehicle.

The officer sustained injuries but was released from the hospital, while the driver was brought to Anoka County Jail and booked on criminal vehicular operation, DWI, fleeing a peace officer in a car, fourth-degree assault and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
