The MC-1 Foundation hosted a fundraiser for a Golden Police Officer, injured in the line of duty, on Saturday in Littleton.

Officer Greg Metzel was shot while responding to an incident at a gas station on Aug. 8, 2026, at 17691 W. Colfax Ave. Golden police said a suspect started shooting at responding officers. That is when Metzel says he was shot in the shoulder, where the bullet remains lodged. The Jefferson County Coroner identified 44-year-old Brian Scott Phillips as the suspect, who died at the scene.

A new report yesterday of a boat pulling up to a dock, a dozen people stream off, and leave it abandoned.  I received this video and have been told that the boat next to it was damaged after the other boat was abandoned.  I’ve also been told that a report has been filed with the OC Sheriff’s Department and federal law enforcement also apparently responded.

I was highly critical two years ago of CA’s sanctuary state policy when panga boats were a more regular occurrence in SoCal, an issue that received national attention when the Coast Guard intercepted a boat a mile off Newport Harbor containing 21 people from Mexico, Russia, and Uzbekistan.

WATCH: Florida deputies race into a burning home and rescue seven dogs, including five puppies in Parkland, Florida.

Deputies dismantled a pen holding the puppies before placing them in a laundry basket and carrying them to safety as firefighters battled the blaze.

The Broward Sheriff's Office says the pups and their parents were all rescued, and the deputies involved were later recognized for their actions.

DEVELOPING: Deputies are searching for an armed and dangerous suspect who was last seen in the Iowa Hill area of Placer County, CA according to the sheriff's office.

The suspect, 44-year-old Derek Spencer, is wanted for several felonies, including pointing a firearm at victims in Placer County earlier today. While searching for Spencer, deputies located him in the Iowa Hill area. Spencer then rammed a Placer County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle and fled the area, prompting the ongoing search. Spencer has fired shots at law enforcement and at law enforcement helicopters.

Everyone in the Iowa Hill area is urged to lock your doors and remain inside.

UPDATE: An arrest has been made in connection with the tragic shooting death of 5-year-old Zah’Layah Walter, who was killed during a roadway shooting incident.

Our hearts remain with Zah’Layah’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

BREAKING: Police officer injured after shooting outside synagogue in Belleville, Canada during Yom Kippur worship services.

"On September 20, 2026, at approximately 7:10 p.m., a Belleville Police Service officer encountered an individual in the area of Bleecker Avenue and Victoria Avenue.

The officer and the individual sustained injuries and were transported to hospital.

The Belleville Police Service has notified the province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) of the incident. The Belleville Police Service is unable to provide any further information at this time."

NEW: A Belleville Canada resident captured the exchange of gunfire as a police officer providing security at the Sons of Jacob synagogue engaged the attacker and was shot.

The shooter was neutralized, and police say there is no continuing threat to the public.

UPDATE ON DOG KICKER

Last year in Pittsburg, CA, Lagashia Williams ordered her daughter Graciela Amar to kick a 2.8 lb. senior Chihuahua named Gigi during a neighbor dispute.  Amar launched the tiny dog through the air, causing severe liver and leg injuries.

Williams then filed a false police report.  Both had their felonies downgraded to misdemeanors.

Amar got suspended probation and 100 hours community service. In May 2026 Williams pleaded no contest to misdemeanor animal cruelty and received 1 year probation plus 120 hours. 

Both must serve those hours at an animal shelter. 

Would you want either of these women around animals at a shelter? The judge let them off easy and then sentenced the animals at the shelter.
