NOW: Philadelphia police continue to investigate a home linked to the disappearance of seven missing women. Some have been missing for over a decade.

The home belonged to convicted drug trafficker R.C. Horsch, who died last year, and his son Eugene Horsch.

Broome County Sheriff Fred Akshar is one of 15 New York sheriffs SUING the state over a new law restricting their ability to work with ICE, and now he’s taken that fight straight to Congress.

Akshar told lawmakers New York’s Local Cops, Local Crimes Act forced his department to terminate its 287(g) agreement with ICE.

His department used that agreement inside the jail, where trained officers could assist federal authorities with immigration warrants and custody transfers involving people already in custody.

New York officials say the law keeps local resources focused on local policing and away from federal civil immigration enforcement. Akshar says the state is taking decisions away from locally elected sheriffs.

Now 15 sheriffs are challenging the law in federal court, and Akshar just brought the fight to Capitol Hill. LFG!!!

Bystander footage from the scene of this week’s horrific bus crash in Chatsworth shows the suspect, identified as Bailee Rios of Simi Valley, alert and awake inside her wrecked Ford SUV moments after the impact that killed two people aboard the bus.

She has been charged with tow counts of murder due to her prior arrests/convictions and bail is set at over $4 million. She is due in court today, Friday 9/18 to answer to these charges.

A runaway emu was captured after escaping from a petting zoo and wandering through Spring Valley, New York, with police using a drone to help track down the bird.

Video released by the Ramapo Police Department shows officers cornering the emu before securing a leash around its neck and bringing its unexpected trip to an end.

Happening Now: Jewish Students Rally and Pray Outside Gracie Mansion Against Antisemitism

Jewish day school students gathered Friday morning on East 88th Street outside Gracie Mansion, where they held Shacharit, the Jewish morning prayer service.

Organizers said the gathering was held in response to recent attacks against Jewish people in New York City. They cited a July stabbing outside an Upper West Side synagogue and an August assault involving a congregant and a security guard during Sabbath services at Central Synagogue.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani was not present at the gathering. Earlier in the week, Mamdani said he welcomed the group, that space outside Gracie Mansion was available to them, and that he expected to be elsewhere in the city at the time of the event.

CAUGHT: FBI SWAT just captured a man wanted in connection with an Atlanta mass shooting that left one person de*d and TEN others wounded.

Ze'kevious Perry, 24, was wanted on one count of felony m*rder and 10 counts of aggravated assault for his alleged involvement in the July 2025 shooting on Edgewood Avenue.

Police say gunfire erupted early that morning, leaving one man fatally wounded and sending 10 other people to the hospital. Perry remained wanted for more than a year.

On Wednesday, an FBI SWAT team arrested him at a home in Montgomery, Alabama after tips from the public.

He is now the third suspect arrested in connection with the shooting.

An Illinois sheriff's office K-9 died from a neck injury during a training exercise Wednesday.

Cato, a K-9 with the Hancock Sheriff's Office, and her handler, Deputy Milo Koechle, were participating in training at a grade school in Niota when the canine struck a glass door, the agency stated in a news release posted on social media. She suffered a serious neck injury and was rushed to a veterinary hospital in Iowa, where she later died.

"Throughout her service, Cato played an important role in supporting our deputies and serving the citizens of Hancock County," the sheriff's office stated. "Her dedication, loyalty, and service will not be forgotten."
