It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our brother, Deputy Paul Stallberg.

"Paul dedicated more than 11 years to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, following nearly nine years of service in the United States Army. During his time with our agency, he made a lasting impact on his fellow deputies, this organization, and the community we serve. He was respected not only for the work he did, but for the person he was.

For those of us who had the privilege of working alongside Paul, we know we have lost more than a fellow deputy. We have lost a friend, a brother, and a member of our Sheriff's Office family."

BREAKING: Federal prosecutors say they are examining whether Tren de Aragua members already in U.S. custody could face terrorism-related charges following the gang’s designation as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

Asked directly whether TdA members currently in custody could face terrorism charges tied to the organization, USAttyReitz responded:

“We’re looking at it.”

He said investigations involving Tren de Aragua and other Mexico-, Central America- and South America-based cartels are ongoing, adding that pursuing cases connected to the FTO designations is a major focus.

“I can’t comment on where we are in each of those steps, but it is of great interest to me, my office, this Justice Department and the administration.”

Charlie Kirk family’s Notice of Claim — what does it mean?

Charlie Kirk’s family has filed a Notice of Claim against the State of Utah, Utah Valley University, the UVU Police Department, Police Chief Jeffrey Long, former UVU President Astrid Tuminez and other state actors — a required step before pursuing certain legal claims against a government entity.

This is not yet a lawsuit, and the allegations have not been proven in court.

The family’s attorneys allege security failures contributed to Kirk’s death.

UVU responded: “We are aware of the notice of claim. UVU addresses legal matters consistent with our established processes. Our focus remains on supporting our campus community.”

We’ve started a memorial for the Channel 4 crew near their helipad at Whiteman Airport.

Access is at 12600 Osborne Street. Turn onto the airport road and continue down toward where the helicopters are located if you’d like to leave flowers or pay your respects.

Surreal to see the empty spot where NBC helicopter is usually parked with the other choppers on the background.

NEW: Three officers and a police K-9 were injured, and a suspect is dead following an officer-involved shooting in North Park Wednesday morning, according to San Diego police.

SDPD officials confirmed three officers involved in the incident were treated for burns.

K-9 named Ryder, was treated for severe burns to his face but was released from a veterinary hospital hours after the incident. A vet said Ryder is expected to fully recover from his injuries. Police said the suspect was carrying a torch and flammable liquid into the adult emporium. The suspect then burned a police K-9, authorities added.

Firefighters Rescue Kitten Trapped in an Entertainment Center 🚒

Ventura County Fire Department responded to a report of an animal in distress and discovered a kitten trapped inside an entertainment center.
Suki had only been with her new family a few weeks when she crawled partway into an opening in the cabinet and couldn’t back out.
Firefighters from Engine 50 in Camarillo removed the A/V equipment from the cabinet, gently lowered it into a more workable position, and carefully freed her.

Suki showed no signs of injury and was returned to her relieved family.
