NEW: A Sturgeon Bay police officer suffered minor injuries after a 29-year-old man led authorities on a chase in Door County, according to the Sturgeon Bay Police Department.
Police said officers assisted sheriff’s deputies around 12:20 p.m. Saturday in locating the driver of a vehicle that allegedly rear-ended another vehicle on State Highway 57 near Jorns Road.
Authorities said the suspect vehicle exited Highway 42/57 at the Michigan Street roundabout and traveled west before striking a Sturgeon Bay police squad car head-on and coming to a stop. A second squad car boxed the suspect in from behind.
Police said the suspect told officers he had a gun and ignored commands.

According to the OSHP, a trooper was assisting the Ohio Department of Transportation with traffic control on U.S. 23, near Blain Highway, between Chillicothe and Waverly in Ross County. At around 12:33 a.m. Monday, the trooper was helping the driver of one vehicle, when a 2000 Jeep Cherokee drove along the northbound shoulder and struck the trooper with a side mirror.

NEW: A Tom Green County Texas sheriff’s deputy was hospitalized overnight after being stung multiple times by hornets while trying to free a trapped occupant from an overturned off-road vehicle Sunday near Twin Buttes Reservoir.
Deputies arriving at the remote scene had to leave their patrol vehicles and cross a fence to reach the wreck. One deputy was attacked by the swarm and received multiple stings while attempting to help the trapped occupant.
A second deputy obtained a protective bee suit from the San Angelo Fire Department, entered the area, and extricated the occupant.
