An incredibly moving tribute to first responders yesterday at Memorial Stadium, leading the Huskers in the Tunnel Walk, and reenacting the Tunnel Walk from the first game after 9/11.
This Tunnel Walk featured two people who had participating in the original 25 years ago: NSP Captain Dain Hicks and Sheriff Terry Wagner.
Colonel Waugh and Captain Hicks were honored to walk alongside leaders from Lincoln_Police, LSOnebraska, UNLPD, lnkfirerescue, and the United States Military.

Kitten Dash, rescued by the deputy who found him on September 10, is doing amazing and is quite the purrsonality already.🐱
He has a follow-up appointment next week at the Pet Resource Center off Falkenburg for his check-up. He has a great appetite and is growing fast. He loves watching himself online and loves all of his supporters!
...he's already got his sights set on joining the sheriff's office K-9 unit as their first tactical kitty once he's big enough🤣

FLASH FLOODING IN WESTPORT, CONNECTICUT 🌧️
Heavy rain caused significant flooding across parts of Fairfield County today, including downtown Westport.
This video shows flooding around the popular Casa Me Café, as rising water affected streets and businesses in the downtown area.
Several communities across southwestern Connecticut experienced flooded roads and difficult driving conditions throughout the day.
Drivers are advised to avoid flooded roadways and continue checking local updates before traveling.

Pictures sent in showing the wonderful outpouring of agencies and people that came to honor US Fish & Wildlife Officer David Taylor as he was laid to rest. He was truly honored today by the many seen here.
Thank you to everyone that showed up to pay respect to a man that God truly gave a serving heart as shown by his career in the US Navy and the US Fish & Wildlife.

Celebrating 80 Years of Culture, Community & Tradition! 🎉🇲🇽
This celebration was especially meaningful to me. I grew up in East Los Angeles, so being back in the community to celebrate my Mexican heritage and Mexican Independence Day made the 80th Anniversary of the East LA Parade & Festival even more special.
East LA will always be a part of who I am. Seeing generations of families come together, hearing the music, experiencing the traditions, and feeling the pride throughout the community brought back so many memories and reminded me of the culture and community that helped shape me.
For eight decades, this celebration has brought people together to honor our history, traditions, and Mexican heritage. Being able to celebrate this milestone in the community where I grew up was truly a full-circle moment.
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped continue a tradition that has meant so much to the East Los Angeles for generations.

THIS KID IS INCREDIBLE: 14-year-old freshman James Melton has used a prosthetic leg almost his entire life, and in his FIRST high-school football game he scored his first TOUCHDOWN.
James was born with a rare condition that required doctors to amputate his leg when he was only 22 months old. Four months later, he was already learning to walk with a prosthetic.
Now he is playing football for Covenant Christian School in Texas, and when he reached the end zone during the season opener, his teammates came pouring in to celebrate with him.
James described that first high-school touchdown as “overwhelming,” but his message to other kids is even better: “Never give up and always keep pushing.”
At 14 years old, he is not asking anyone to feel sorry for him. He is suiting up, competing and scoring touchdowns.
THIS is the kind of hero young people should be watching.
