POTUS announces the USCG will commission a new Fast Response Cutter in memory of FDNY firefighter and U.S. Coast Guard reservist Jeffrey Palazzo — one of the 343 heroic firefighters who lost their lives responding to the attacks on September 11, 2001.

Retired Police Officer Shaun McGill was only on the job for 18 months when he responded to the World Trade Center on 9/11.

That day, McGill ran towards danger looking to help as many as he could.

WTH?!? Apparently, you no longer have to be a U.S. citizen to apply to become a police officer in Danbury, Connecticut.

The City Council voted 18-2 to open applications to lawful permanent residents and DACA recipients, bringing the city’s rules in line with Connecticut’s police certification standards.

Before everyone starts screaming that Danbury just eliminated its standards, that’s not what happened.

Applicants still have to pass the same background investigation, psychological evaluation, medical screening, drug testing, academy training and certification requirements as everyone else.

Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour says the change is about widening the applicant pool at a time when departments across the country are struggling to recruit qualified officers.

Connecticut already opened police certification eligibility to lawful permanent residents in 2020 and DACA recipients in 2025, so Danbury is catching its local ordinance up with the state.

But this is still a pretty significant shift in what used to be one of the most basic requirements for putting on a badge. This CANNOT stand.

The coward who ambushed and murdered Deputy Terrian Bailey is still at large.

The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information to come forward—regardless of how small or insignificant it may seem.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information related to the case.

A New Jersey school district is being SUED IN FEDERAL COURT over a policy that can keep parents from being told when their child changes names or pronouns at school. It's ABOUT TIME this nonsense is put to rest.

According to the lawsuit, students can use a different name and pronouns at school without their parents being notified, access bathrooms and locker rooms based on gender identity, participate in sports under those policies and, in some circumstances, be referred to outside organizations without parents knowing what is happening.

Moms for Liberty and two anonymous parents are suing the School District of the Chathams over Policy 5145.7, arguing that the district has crossed the line from protecting students into cutting parents out of decisions involving their own children.

The parents argue that schools should not be able to maintain one identity for a child at school while deliberately keeping the child’s parents unaware of it.
The district says the policy is consistent with New Jersey anti-discrimination law and state guidance.

Now a federal judge is being asked to decide just how far a public school can go in withholding information about a child’s gender identity from that child’s parents.

We know the answer: protecting a student’s privacy can NEVER include intentionally excluding parents.
