NEW: A Waukegan man allegedly tried to disarm a police officer by grabbing his gun and then fought with officers who tried to arrest him, leaving three of them injured in Waukegan, Illinois.

Ismael Figueroa, 45, was charged with attempting to disarm and injure three police officers in Waukegan on July 25 after officers arrived on an active warrant and reported mental health concern. Acting on a false belief that a relative was dead, Figueroa became combative, struck an officer, and grabbed the officer’s service weapon before being subdued. He remains detained in Lake County Jail, with a court appearance scheduled for October 5.

Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for the officers recoveryπŸ™πŸ»

UPDATE: Police now say the Virginia mother found st*bbed and covered in gasoline had been having an AFFAIR with her illegal 19-year-old coworker... and she allegedly sent the receipts to his girlfriend shortly before she was k*lled.

New court documents are revealing what investigators believe led to the horrific de*th of 42-year-old Carmen Lizet Puch.

A coworker told police that Puch sent screenshots of her relationship with Alexis Antonio Cedillos-Campos to his girlfriend. According to the complaint, Cedillos-Campos became furious and told the coworker he was going to k*ll her.

Investigators say surveillance video then showed him leaving their restaurant with a large knife, black latex gloves and a water bottle. Police believe he later filled that bottle with gasoline from his motorcycle.

Hours later, the witness says Cedillos-Campos called and said he "did it."

Puch was found near her car with multiple st*b wounds and gasoline poured over her body.

DHS says Cedillos-Campos entered the U.S. illegally in 2024 and was released after being apprehended at the border.

Every new detail coming out of this case makes it more disturbing.

In a small mountain city east of Los Angeles, on the banks of Big Bear Lake, a community gathered over Labor Day weekend to honor Jackie, the bald eagle who inspired millions worldwide to connect with wildlife and conservation.

Viewers got to see her life and growing family on a nest-cam that 'Friends of the Big Bear Valley' installed in 2015 atop the tree in Fawnskin, California, and the fan base exploded.

In memory and honor of Jackie, a state resolution declared Sept. 4 California Wildlife Day.

NEW: Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass’ office informs the House Oversight Committee she is unavailable to testify at their hearing next Tuesday re: the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) allocation of federal funds to NGO’s and non-profits in the LA area. In the letter, Bass’ office distances themselves from LAHSA, pointing out it is not a city of Los Angeles government entity, and Bass doesn’t control its budget or operations, though, she is one of the ten members of the LAHSA commission, which includes four other members appointed by Mayor Bass.

House Oversight Committee spox:

β€œIt’s a shame Mayor Bass is afraid to come testify about her policies that have increased homelessness in Los Angeles and enabled a culture of corruption.”
