Police encountered this stolen Mercedes multiple times. Hours later, two innocent people were dead.

Authorities say the $220,000 G-Wagon was stolen from a New Jersey shore town after the keys were left inside. Police attempted to stop the SUV during the night. Other officers encountered it again hours later. Then came the devastating ending.

Prosecutors accuse 18-year-old Nayshaun Brown of driving the stolen Mercedes when it crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed head-on into a car carrying Robert Barr Jr., 54, and Alice Stilwell, 67. Both were killed.

Brown and three juveniles were taken into custody after the crash. Court records say the four tried to run before responding officers caught them.

Two people who had absolutely NOTHING to do with the alleged crimes lost their lives.

When the swing refuses to let go 😳

What started as a normal day at the playground turned into an unexpected rescue after a person became stuck in a swing in Oakland, California.

Video shows multiple Oakland firefighters working together to carefully free the person from the playground equipment as bystanders watched.

Thankfully, crews were able to get them out. It’s unclear if any injuries were reported.

Is 100 years in prison ENOUGH for bringing rifles, body armor and explosives to attack law enforcement officers?

Federal prosecutors say members of a North Texas Antifa cell arrived at the Prairieland Detention Center in black bloc with
guns, body armor, military-style medical gear and fireworks.

They vandalized the facility and used fireworks as the confrontation escalated.

Then Benjamin Song yelled, “get to the rifles!” According to trial evidence, Song opened fire and SH*T an Alvarado police officer IN THE NECK while unarmed correctional officers ran for cover.

The officer survived.

A jury convicted Song of attempted murder and other federal offenses. His sentence: 100 YEARS.

Seven other defendants sentenced with him received decades behind bars as well.

The driver of this Infiniti from Fontana was observed participating in illegal street takeovers in Unincorporated Compton on two separate occasions.

A warrant submitted to and approved by a Los Angeles County Judge and the Infiniti was impounded for 30 days for participating and spectating the street takeovers.

Street takeovers and reckless driving related activities are illegal, maliciously reckless, endanger lives, and damage/destroy public and private property.

The Colorado State Patrol shared an update on two troopers who were injured on Tuesday morning in a shooting.

Trooper Clark Tinan is pictured on the left, and Trooper Skylar Hoehn is pictured on the right. Trooper Hoehn remains in the hospital at this time but is "doing well," and Trooper Tinan was released from the hospital on Tuesday.

The owner of one of the NFL's biggest franchises just got caught in an undercover prostitution sting.

San Francisco 49ers principal owner Jed York was arrested in Ohio after police say he responded to an undercover online prostitution ad and showed up for the arranged meeting. York was initially charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing
criminal tools.

By the next day, the prostitution charge had been reduced to disorderly conduct, and York pleaded no contest to that charge and possessing criminal tools. The alleged "criminal tool" was the cellphone used to respond to the ad.

Now the NFL is reviewing the case under its Personal Conduct Policy, the SAME policy that applies to players. So what happens when the person under scrutiny isn't one of the players, but the man who OWNS the team?

Please, praying for the Missouri State trooper who was seriously injured in the line of duty earlier today.🙏🏻

A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper was struck and seriously injured during a traffic stop on northbound Interstate 35 in North Kansas City on August 26, 2026.

The incident occurred around midnight after the trooper had arrested a driver for suspected DUI; a passing vehicle hit the officer and the patrol car while the trooper was standing beside the vehicle.

The trooper underwent surgery and remains in serious but stable condition, while the striking driver sustained minor injuries.

NEW: A Mill Valley police officer was moderately injured Sunday night when an object exploded as the officer tried to extinguish a small fire in a church parking lot, police said.

The officer responded at about 9 p.m. to a report of a possible fire in the 200 block of Camino Alto and found flames on a paved portion of the parking lot at the First Church of Christ, Scientist.

As the officer attempted to put out the fire, an object inside the flames exploded, causing the injuries, according to the Mill Valley Police Department.

Our office received reports of a lone bear cub wandering in Superior. Animal Protection and deputies later located the cub on August 24, and safely guided it into a tree until Colorado Parks and Wildlife could arrive. The cub was tranquilized, tagged, and relocated to the mountains without injury. Boulder County has seen increased bear activity, and we urge residents and visitors to stay bear aware. Giving wildlife plenty of space, securing trash, locking vehicles, and properly storing food all help reduce encounters and keep both people and wildlife safe. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis says Flock Cameras have gotten out of control.

The Oakland Police Department is investigating an armed kidnapping that occurred just after 5:00 p.m. on August 25, 2026, in the 1700 block of Embarcadero. Officers were dispatched to a report of a kidnapping.

When officers arrived, the female victim reported that an armed, unknown male suspect had kidnapped her and driven a short distance before she was able to exit the vehicle. The victim provided a description of the suspect's vehicle.

OPD's helicopter (ARGUS) spotted the vehicle near 10th Avenue and International Boulevard and followed it from a safe distance. Officers inside ARGUS saw the suspect throw a firearm out of the vehicle window. OPD officers assigned to Patrol and the Crime Reduction Team (CRT) West arrested the suspect in the 2000 block of San Pablo Avenue after he collided with a parked vehicle. Officers recovered the thrown firearm.

OPD's Special Victims Section is conducting a follow-up investigation into this incident.

NEW: At least one person was killed in a fiery two-car crash Wednesday on Montague Expressway in Santa Clara, according to police. A witness told Eyewitness News that one of the vehicles was traveling the wrong way at a high rate of speed before colliding with the other car.
