As the largest police news outlet in the world, we HATE doing this - but we're CALLING OUT the Minneapolis Police Department - and would encourage an investigation by the The United States Department of Justice. Minneapolis PD just labeled Jake Lang a “far-right extremist” in an official ARREST post. That is NOT neutral policing.
Most departments go out of their way to avoid political language. Many agencies and the DOJ have even stopped releasing mugshots to protect the “innocent until proven guilty” standard. Minneapolis did the opposite.
They put the political branding in the first sentence of their public statement while announcing probable cause riot charges after vehicles drove onto the sidewalk near City Hall.
This is the same city run by Mayor Jacob Frey, who has repeatedly sided with progressive and identity-focused policies.
He signed the ordinance allowing the Muslim call to prayer at any hour. His administration has worked to limit federal immigration enforcement on city property.
The previous police chief, Brian O’Hara, spent years cultivating close relationships with the Somali Muslim community, speaking at mosques and elevating officers from that community, before resigning under pressure in 2026 after investigators found he interfered with an internal probe.
When a police department in a left-run city starts using loaded political labels in official charging announcements, it telegraphs the bias.
That kind of language does not strengthen a case. It hands the defense a gift by showing the agency is not operating as a neutral enforcer of the law.
Americans notice when the rules of impartiality only seem to apply in one direction.
Minneapolis PD - get your act together. Crap like this is why good officers are FLEEING that liberal cesspool in droves. Time for a NO CONFIDENCE vote in your leadership.

Yesterday, one of our beloved K9’s, Titan, passed away suddenly following a brief diagnosed illness.
Titan was a 7-year-old German Shepherd and had been a valued member of our department since May of 2021. He served admirably and faithfully alongside his partner, Traffic Unit Sgt. Greg Morris during every shift. We all knew when Titan was working because he loved to announce his presence and let everyone know he was on-duty and ready to go. He will be missed by us all and we are grateful for his service and commitment to Sgt. Morris and to our department and Town over the past 5 years.
We are grateful to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, Wendell PD, Zebulon PD, and Garner PD for the assistance provided in our police escort of Titan yesterday evening.
Please keep Sgt. Morris and his family, along with all our officers and staff in your thoughts and prayers.
Rest easy big boy and job well done.

Sheriff’s Youth Foundation Fundraiser: Shooting for the Future
This afternoon, the Sheriff’s Youth Foundation (SYF) hosted a fundraiser at the LA Clay Shooting Sports Park. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to attend and want to extend my appreciation to every volunteer and sponsor who dedicated their time and resources to support the foundation. Events like this play a vital role in empowering our youth by helping fund mentorship initiatives and after‑school programs throughout Los Angeles County. Through SYF, young people gain access to experiences and opportunities they might not otherwise have.
In addition to thanking our sponsors, volunteers, and SYF board members for making this event a success, I’d also like to recognize California native and six‑time Olympic shooter, Kim Rhode. Thank you for taking the time to speak with the kids and share your inspiring story. Your presence made a lasting impact.

NYPD Police Officers are being trained to “avoid the head” when wrestling with violent resisting suspects so that it does not appear they violate local law 10-181 (the chokehold law).
This inept law was created by anti police activists makes it illegal for NYPD police officers to deploy basic control techniques found in wrestling & jiu jitsu.
This law makes encounters more violent by requiring the NYPD skip over force options which automatically raises the level of force that is necessary to use.
10-181 makes arrest situation more dangerous for both suspects and cops.
NYPD officers should be judged by whether or not the force they deployed was reasonable not by which techniques they deployed.
Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu techniques including chokeholds should be trained and deployed when it’s reasonable to use such force.
I’m not advocating for police officers to run around and put everyone in a chokehold but should exigent circumstance’s exist during a violent encounter the NYPD should have the ability to use this technique.
They also should have the ability to control suspects using head and neck control which are not “chokeholds”.
