THIS IS TERRIFYING: Four patients went in for routine joint-replacement surgeries at a Nashville hospital, and families say TWO came out PARALYZED after a catastrophic medication mix-up.

The patients underwent procedures at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown on August 14.

The family of 72-year-old Glenda Dorton says potassium chloride was mistakenly used in her spinal injection instead of the anesthetic bupivacaine. She is now paralyzed from the chest down and remains in intensive care.

The hospital acknowledges four patients were harmed and says it identified the cause and added new safeguards. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is now investigating.

These patients walked into a hospital expecting routine surgery and trusted the medical team with their lives.

How does a mistake this dangerous reach FOUR patients before it is stopped?

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office is deeply saddened to share the passing of Deputy John A. Rodriguez, who honorably served Tarrant County for nearly fifteen years. Deputy Rodriguez passed away following an illness.  He joined TCSO in 2012 following his retirement from the United States Navy, continuing a lifetime of service defined by integrity, compassion, and quiet leadership.

He began his career as a Detention Officer, later graduating to become a Deputy Sheriff assigned to Patrol. He then transferred to the Judicial Division where he proudly served the 297th District Court.  Within the 297th, he was affectionately known as “Papa” — a name given to him by his team for his warm nature and unwavering kindness. His ability to make others feel supported and valued was one of his greatest gifts. His warmth and generous heart was felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest Easy Brother. Prayers for his family of blue and blood.🙏🏻

BUSTED: A California City Council candidate allegedly listed a COCKTAIL LOUNGE as her home address so she could run for office in a district where prosecutors say she DIDN’T LIVE.

Stockton candidate Desiree Lynch was arrested and hit with five felony counts after a six-week public corruption investigation.

Investigators say Lynch was actually living in Lodi and North Stockton, outside the District 5 seat she was seeking, while using two different Stockton addresses to establish residency.

One was an apartment. The other was Harry’s Cocktail Lounge.

The charges include three counts of perjury, false voter registration and filing a false declaration of candidacy.

And the district attorney did NOT mince words, accusing Lynch of “manufacturing a fake address to cheat the system.”

If you have to fabricate where you live just to qualify for the ballot, you have no business asking voters to trust you with public office.

"America, we have lost this city." Pastor Lorenzo Sewell unloaded during a Dearborn, Michigan, city meeting, accusing the city of operating under Sharia law. "This is a city that is no longer up under American laws; we are up under Sharia law. We will not…
AMERICA, WE HAVE LOST THIS CITY.” Pastor Lorenzo Sewell delivered that warning directly to the Dearborn City Council while accusing city leaders of allowing Sharia law to take precedence over American law.

Sewell demanded that Dearborn leaders publicly renounce Sharia law during an August 18 meeting packed with protesters and counterprotesters.

His message was unmistakable: “Enough is enough.”

The confrontation is now gaining national attention, and there should be one standard every American can agree on regardless of religion or politics: the Constitution and American law come first, and no religious code gets to replace them.

If residents believe their government is crossing that line, officials should answer the allegations directly and publicly.

Praying for the Connecticut law enforcement officers who were shot in the line of duty last night 🙏🏻

💙 HARTFORD STRONG

Officer Alex Diaz was released from the hospital today after being shot in the line of duty last night.

A Hartford native, member of Academy Class 22-1, and member of our Street Crimes Unit, Officer Diaz represents what it means to wear the Hartford Police uniform — courage, commitment, and an unwavering dedication to our city.

Officer Diaz and his fellow Street Crimes officers have worked tirelessly to remove numerous illegal firearms from our city streets, making Hartford safer for the residents they serve. That commitment to protecting this community is at the core of who Alex is as a police officer.

Last night, he put himself in harm’s way while serving this community. Today, we are grateful to see him heading home.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to the Rocky Hill Police Department, whose officer was also struck by gunfire, as well as the surrounding police departments and law enforcement agencies who responded and stood beside us during an incredibly difficult night.

To Officer Diaz’s Street Crimes teammates, every member of the Hartford Police Department, and the countless members of the public who have reached out, offered prayers, sent messages, and shown their support — thank you.

The support shown for Alex, our officers, and the entire law enforcement community has meant more than words can express.

Stay strong, Alex. America stands with you. 💙
