Pastor Lorenzo Sewell unloaded during a Dearborn, Michigan, city meeting, accusing the city of operating under Sharia law.

"This is a city that is no longer up under American laws; we are up under Sharia law. We will not have it anymore," Sewell said.
"Enough is enough."

The outburst, which came amid a series of other anti-Islam protests in Dearborn, vocalizes fears that Muslim populations in Michigan are working to bring their communities more in line with their religious worldview, views Sewell believes are at odds with the vast majority of the country.

Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond posted a message of prayer for the recovery of an injured Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse police officer and comfort for families of three people killed in a fiery multi-vehicle crash.

- The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. on August 20, 2026, on I-44 near SW 119th Street in Oklahoma City, when a semi-truck failed to slow for traffic, triggering a chain reaction that overturned the semi and engulfed vehicles in flames.

- Three fatalities included two occupants of a pickup truck and the semi driver, with the Lighthorse officer hospitalized; eastbound lanes were closed for hours as Oklahoma City fire and police responded.

Frightening dashcam footage shows Wednesday’s massive tractor trailer accident on the 210 Freeway near La Cañada.

A frantic search for two young Atlanta sisters ended with officers finding both girls locked in the back of a trailer in sweltering temperatures.

The girls’ mother told police she had left the children with a babysitter, Lakesha Brown, while she went out to dinner.

But when she returned home, Brown and the children were gone. After the mother was unable to reach Brown, she called the police and launched a full-scale search for her daughters.

Officers eventually located both children unharmed and arrested Brown. She now faces two counts of kidnapping and two counts of first-degree cruelty to children.

Praying for the two Dearborn police officers who were shot in the line of duty overnight.🙏🏽

Two Dearborn police officers were shot early Friday morning while attempting to arrest a suspect near Inkster and Van Born roads.

The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. The suspect was also shot during the incident.

Both officers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The suspect was hospitalized in critical condition.

The investigation remains active, and additional details are expected to be released as they become available.

The Pine Tree Road Fire in Union County is currently estimated at approximately 2,000 acres as crews continue working to contain the fire, which has been burning since last night.

Ten bulldozers are currently working the fire, and we are preparing replacement crews from other parts of the state. A detection flight over Southeast Arkansas is planned this morning. Air tankers are scheduled to begin aerial operations immediately.

Approximately 150 people have been evacuated to nearby shelters in Lawson and El Dorado. Entergy has also de-energized power lines in the area as crews work to improve containment. We will provide an updated containment estimate as soon as it is available.

Federal prosecutors say 35-year-old New Yorker Jessica Bowie planned to hide a bomb inside a DoorDash delivery bag and leave it at the New York State Capitol in Albany, hoping to kill as many lawmakers as possible.

Investigators say Bowie, who faces federal terrorism charges for attempting to provide material support to ISIS, scouted the Capitol several times, bought suspected bomb-making materials and unknowingly discussed her plans with an FBI source.

Authorities say she also talked about fleeing to Syria after the attack and later returning to target the president and Times Square, while the DOJ says additional charges could be coming.
