OFFICER INJURED IN AURORA CRASH

Emergency crews responded to a reported officer involved crash near East 14th Avenue and Havana Street in Aurora around 8:24 PM Thursday.

Dispatch traffic indicated three patients suffered minor injuries, including an officer.

Fire and medical crews were sent to the scene.

A separate possible domestic related injury call was also reported nearby at 14th Avenue and Kingston Street, where another engine staged.

No additional information about the circumstances of the crash or the identities of those involved was immediately available.

Frightening dashcam footage shows Wednesday’s massive tractor trailer accident on the 210 Freeway near La Cañada.

A frantic search for two young Atlanta sisters ended with officers finding both girls locked in the back of a trailer in sweltering temperatures.

The girls’ mother told police she had left the children with a babysitter, Lakesha Brown, while she went out to dinner.

But when she returned home, Brown and the children were gone. After the mother was unable to reach Brown, she called the police and launched a full-scale search for her daughters.

Officers eventually located both children unharmed and arrested Brown. She now faces two counts of kidnapping and two counts of first-degree cruelty to children.

Praying for the two Dearborn police officers who were shot in the line of duty overnight.🙏🏽

Two Dearborn police officers were shot early Friday morning while attempting to arrest a suspect near Inkster and Van Born roads.

The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. The suspect was also shot during the incident.

Both officers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The suspect was hospitalized in critical condition.

The investigation remains active, and additional details are expected to be released as they become available.
