BUSTED: A massive Mississippi operation targeting child exploitation and noncompliant s*x offenders resulted in 70 ARRESTS across the state.

Operation Muddy Waters brought Homeland Security Investigations together with federal, state and local law enforcement for a coordinated two-week crackdown.

The cases involved allegations of soliciting children, possessing or distributing child s*xual abuse material, livestreaming child exploitation and violating s*x-offender requirements. Authorities say some suspects traveled across state lines intending to engage in illegal s*xual activity with minors, while several people holding “positions of public trust” were suspected of possessing illegal material involving children.

But they're “just here for a better life,” right?

One Honduran national was accused of traveling from Tennessee to Mississippi to engage in illicit s*xual conduct with a child. A Bangladeshi national living in Alabama allegedly communicated online with a 14-year-old boy. Two Mexican nationals were identified as noncompliant s*x offenders with previous convictions—including one involving a child.

These are not harmless immigration violations or technical paperwork mistakes. These are serious allegations involving children and convicted offenders who were required to comply with s*x-offender registration requirements.

Seventy arrests are on the books and more investigations are now underway.

Give the officers and investigators who carried out this operation the recognition they deserve.

Authorities say a 14-year-old Arkansas student posted those words while allegedly threatening to carry out a school attack. This was reportedly not one vague comment taken out of context.

Authorities say the student published multiple threatening posts, posed with a handgun and identified it as the weapon that would be used. Sandy Hook Promise discovered the posts and alerted the FBI, which traced them to a home in Crawford County and worked with local authorities to intervene before anyone was harmed.

The student was arrested on a charge of threatening to commit an act of mass violence on school property, a Class C felony in Arkansas. When authorities searched the home, they reportedly recovered the handgun shown in the social media posts along with three rifles. The article also reports that the firearms were unsecured and that the student and a 12-year-old sibling were home alone when authorities arrived, although officials have not publicly identified the school allegedly being targeted.

Imagine how differently this could have ended if someone had scrolled past those posts, dismissed them as attention-seeking or assumed that another person would report them. Instead, one alert set off a chain of action involving Sandy Hook Promise, the FBI and Crawford County deputies—and that response may have prevented an entire community from being shattered.

Threats of school violence cannot be excused as dark humor, online posturing or “kids being kids.” Parents need to know what their children are doing online, and every credible threat should be reported immediately.

This is a serious warning. Taking one post seriously could save an entire school.

This is HEARTBREAKING.

A Wisconsin mother has pleaded guilty after police said she repeatedly failed to protect her children from abuse and turned up the music to drown out their cries rather than calling for help.

Charlotte Kurek acknowledged that Devario Cruz, her boyfriend and the father of 4-year-old Dante Campbell, could be “heavy-handed” with the children, yet authorities say she never reported him to police.

According to the criminal complaint, Kurek watched Cruz abuse the children without calling law enforcement or even threatening to call in an attempt to make him stop, leading investigators to conclude that she appeared to care more about protecting Cruz than protecting her own children.

On October 18, 2025, Cruz found Dante unresponsive in bed and reportedly told Kurek, “I don’t think he is alive, I think he is dead.” Although Kurek began screaming and said they needed to go to the hospital, authorities say neither adult immediately called 911. Instead, they waited more than an hour, loaded Dante into a vehicle and drove to a friend’s home to drop off his twin sister while leaving three other children home alone. Kurek called 911 only after that detour, and Dante was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

The couple initially claimed that Dante had fallen down a flight of stairs and that bicycles and other objects had landed on him, but investigators did not believe his injuries matched that explanation. Kurek later admitted that she had lied, while Dante’s twin sister was found with a swollen eye, scratches and bruises across her body. When police asked the little girl what had happened, she reportedly answered,
“Daddy hurt me.”

A mother knew her children were being hurt, heard their cries and chose to make the music louder instead of calling police. Now one child is gone, another was allegedly found showing signs of abuse, and Kurek has finally admitted her criminal failure to protect them.

What sentence would be enough for that level of vile apathy?

NEW: A Georgia man was executed in Alabama Thursday for raping and killing a child in 2021.

Jeremy Williams pleaded guilty to raping and murdering 5-year-old Kamarie Holland.
Williams, 42, raped and strangled Holland after offering her mother $2,500 for the child to perform a sex act, prosecutors said, adding he filmed his attack.
He was put to death at 6:16 p.m. on Thursday

3 executions in 3 states on the same day — a sequence the U.S. hasn't seen in more than 16 years.

Carlos Cuesta-Rodriguez was executed by lethal injection in Oklahoma Thursday morning for killing his girlfriend, Olimpia Fisher.

About 30 minutes later, Anthony Darrell Hines was executed in Tennessee for the murder of motel maid Catherine Jean Jenkins.
