BIG WIN today at the U.S. Court of International Trade on one of the most DESPICABLE loopholes in American Trade Policy β€” The so-called β€œde minimis” exemption.

For years, Foreign Shippers could send packages worth up to $800 into our Country, DUTY FREE, NO TARIFF, far less scrutiny. It became a giant loophole for TARIFF Cheats β€” and a Pipeline exploited by Fentanyl Traffickers, Counterfeiters, and other Criminals shipping dangerous and illegal products into America. The numbers were staggering. In 2024 alone, de minimis cost America an estimated 10.8 BILLION DOLLRS in foregone TARIFF Revenue, and an astonishing share of narcotics and counterfeit seizures came through the de minimis channel. So, we CLOSED IT. With the stroke of my mighty pen β€” NO AUTOPEN!!! β€” we ended this ridiculous giveaway, and made Foreign Goods play by the rules. The Importers sued. Today, THEY LOST. The Court ruled that the President had the Legal Authority to rescind this so-called β€œprivilege.”

America is now SAFER, our Workers are better protected, and BILLIONS in TARIFF Revenue that used to slip through this loophole can instead help pay for our Great Military, Tax Relief, NO TAX ON TIPS, and NO TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY. AMERICA FIRST TRADE β€” AND AMERICA FIRST LAW ENFORCEMENT! President DONALD J. TRUMP

The Department of Justice seeks to strip naturalized U.S. citizen Tatiana Power of her citizenship.

Why?

An ICE Operation False Haven investigation determined she was criminally involved with a business that sexually exploited children before she became a citizen. After obtaining citizenship, she was convicted of laundering money in connection with a business that sold child sex abuse materials.

The U.S. alleges that the court should revoke her citizenship because she procured her citizenship by concealing her earlier crime.

LOCK HER UP: Kentucky’s new grooming law has reportedly caught its first teacher less than ONE MONTH after taking effect.

Sadie Flores, a 25-year-old Graves County Middle School employee, is accused of exchanging inappropriate messages, holding late-night FaceTime calls and secretly meeting with a minor student outside official school activities.

Published reports say the married mother expressed feelings that went far beyond any acceptable teacher-student relationship. The child’s parents allegedly discovered the communications and immediately reported them to the school district, which contacted law enforcement.

Deputies interviewed Flores, seized electronic evidence and arrested her at the school on August 7. She is now charged with grooming a minor under Kentucky’s new law, which took effect July 15.

This is EXACTLY why the law was needed.

Authorities should not have to wait until grooming escalates into physical s*xual abuse before they can protect a child. Secret meetings, late-night calls and inappropriate emotional manipulation are not harmless boundary violations. They are warning signs that demand immediate action.

Kentucky gave law enforcement the power to intervene BEFORE another child is permanently harmed. If these allegations are proven, make the consequences severe enough to warn every adult who believes a child can be manipulated for their own gratification.

Every state should follow Kentucky’s lead. What should justice look like in a case like this?

⚠️The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory until 4:40 p.m. today for eastern Lucerne Valley and northern Johnson Valley.
Thunderstorms are producing heavy rain, with 0.5 to 0.75 inches already fallen and an additional 0.25 to 1 inch possible.
⚠️ Turn around, don’t drown. Never drive through flooded streets, washes, or moving water. It only takes a small amount of fast-moving water to make driving conditions dangerous.
Residents near recent burn areas should use extra caution. Heavy rainfall can trigger rapid runoff, debris flows and mudflows, sending mud, rocks and other debris into roads and low-lying areas.

NEW: The Pima County Sheriffs Department says before 8 this morning, they responded to Sabino Canyon for a rescue.

A family of three tried to cross a flooded bridge on bicycles. During the crossing, a 20-year-old woman fell from her bicycle and became trapped underwater, Mary Coleman reports.

Family members and Good Samaritans began helping, but the woman remained underwater for multiple minutes. She was eventually pulled from the water and CPR was started until she regained consciousness.

PCSD Deputies arrived to help her out of the drainage. Two people were taken to a local hospital and are reported to be  stable.

PCSD says this is a good reminder--"never attempt to cross flooded washes, whether on a bike, in a vehicle, or on foot. Fast‑moving water is extremely dangerous and puts you and first responders at risk."

The New York City Department of Correction mourns the loss of Correction Officer Noreen O’Connor, a 44-year veteran who passed away yesterday. Officer O’Connor was also currently our agency’s longest-serving woman Correction Officer.

Respected, adored and supported by so many, Officer O’Connor boldly served at the Correctional Institution for Women (CIFW), now renamed to the George Motchan Detention Center (GMDC), and our Special Operations Division (SOD) on Rikers Island. Her remarkable longevity in correctional service included decades of mentoring her fellow staff members on what it truly means to be one of New York City’s Boldest.

Officer O’Connor’s kindness, professionalism, wisdom, dedication and love for helping others will continue to impact our agency and city for generations to come. She will always be remembered and revered as a NYC DOC legend.

Rest Easy Sister. Prayers for her family of blue and blood.πŸ™πŸ»

HOLY COW: This damage is allegedly from ONE WOMAN'S road rage and done with her bare hands (and feet). She allegedly rear-ended a couple, BLOCKED THEIR CAR, and then began POUNDING on their windows and kicking their vehicle.

Elizabeth Rodriguez and her husband were driving home when another driver allegedly struck their vehicle near the Interstate 85 ramp on Brookshire Boulevard.

Video shows the woman outside Rodriguez’s locked car, yelling, striking the windows and repeatedly kicking the vehicle.

The video shows her pulling on the door handle while the terrified couple remained inside.

Rodriguez called 911 and kept the doors locked. She said she feared the woman might return to her vehicle and retrieve a weapon.

The driver fled before officers located her. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said the investigation remained active, with no arrest announced at the time of the latest report.

Rodriguez was so shaken that she gave up concert tickets for the following night because she was afraid to return to Charlotte.

WHAT ON EARTH is going on in Charlotte?
