Honoring Loss with Action

A year ago, a community member's mother was killed by a reckless driver. Recently, his quick thinking stopped an alleged drunk driver in Douglas County.

After spotting a car weaving without plates, driving the wrong way down the road, hopping sidewalks, blowing red lights, and reaching 100 MPH, this witness immediately called 911.

Thanks to his description, DCSO day shift deputies took the driver into custody on suspicion of DUI.

We owe a sincere thank you to this witness. With the reminder of his own loss, his actions protected our community.

A Harford County sheriff's deputy helped an injured driver out of a van after a fleeing suspect crashed into four vehicles at a busy Belcamp intersection.

NEW: An officer with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) sustained non-life-threatening injuries during a call for service in the 3500 block of Robinson Circle in the North Tryon Division.
On Tuesday, Aug. 11, at approximately 10:34 a.m., officers responded to a Suspicious Person call for service in the 3500 block of Robinson Circle. The reporting person advised individuals were attempting to steal copper wire from the location.
Upon arrival, officers encountered four suspects on scene. One suspect attempted to flee in a vehicle, injuring an officer in the process. The officer was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was discharged after receiving treatment.
All four suspects were taken into custody.

Now Thompson is seeking authority over policies affecting students, parents, teachers, classrooms, and school libraries. And political allies are lining up behind the campaign.

NEW: An Amazon driver stopped to untangle and salute an American flag outside a Kentucky home Monday, a moment that deeply touched the military family who lives there.🇺🇸

“Thank you for reminding us that there are still people who understand what that flag represents,” homeowner Ange Burnett said on Facebook. She is hoping to identify the driver so she can thank him.

BARBARIC Sharia “justice” in Iran: A 24-year-old child bride was EXECUTED after fighting off a s*xual assault.

Marzieh Nayyeri was forced into marriage as a teenager. At 18, she said her husband and one of his business partners attempted to s*xually assault her inside her own home.

She fought back with a kitchen knife, and her husband lost his life during the struggle.

Iran’s court rejected her self-defense claim.

She was sentenced under Iran’s Sharia-based qisas system, which allows a life to be taken as retribution.

Nayyeri was hanged August 8 at Qazvin Central Prison. She was only 24 years old.

No clemency. No mercy. No second chance.

WHERE ARE THE FEMINISTS? Where are the so-called “bleeding heart” liberals? You know, the same ones who want to flood our country and government with the Islamic men who would implement Sharia law?

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Custody Assistant Glenda Razzano, who tragically lost her life in an off-duty traffic collision on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

Custody Assistant Razzano joined the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on July 5, 2006, after completing Custody Assistant Academy Class #55. She was assigned to Pitchess Detention Center, where she faithfully served the Department for more than 20 years.

Glenda will be remembered as a kind and caring person whose presence touched the lives of those around her. Her loss is deeply felt throughout our Department family.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Glenda’s family, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Rest Easy Sister. Prayers for her family of blue and blood.🙏🏻
