This week, the Austin Police (APD) celebrates K9 Brooks’ official last day on duty. Over his eight and a half years of service, he participated in approximately 250 missions. Whether assisting patrol officers or responding to SWAT call-outs, Brooks was always ready for action. Now, he is trading his badge for chew toys—a transition he is sure to enjoy. We wish him the very best in his well-deserved retirement with Officer Butler, who has worked alongside him for almost nine years. Congratulations and thank you for your service, K9 Brooks!

Please, praying for the Golden police officer who was shot in the line of duty this morning.🙏🏻

A Golden Colorado police officer was shot early Saturday morning after a suspect opened fire on responding officers at a Circle K gas station.

Officers responded to the gas station at West Colfax Avenue west of C470 around 2:30 a.m. after receiving a report of a man with a handgun. During the contact, the suspect fired at officers, who returned fire. The suspect was killed.

The officer who was shot was immediately transported to a local hospital. The injury is non-life-threatening.
There is no active threat to the community, police said in Facebook post.

BOOM! Texas Children’s Hospital has been forced into a $10 MILLION settlement over transgender procedures for minors...but is it enough?

Texas Children’s Hospital has agreed to pay $10 million to resolve allegations that it submitted improper insurance claims connected to pediatric gender transition procedures.

The hospital must also open what state and federal officials describe as the nation’s first dedicated detransition clinic by the end of October.

Services will be provided at no cost to patients during the clinic’s first five years.

Five physicians are PERMANENTLY losing their privileges at the hospital, and its bylaws must be changed to prevent prohibited gender transition procedures on children.

Yesterday was a special day at Pineville Junior High as law enforcement officers gathered to welcome Deputy U.S. Marshal Drew Hanson’s daughter on her first day of school. NEW: Massive explosion on California highway as tanker carrying 8,600 gallons of gas erupts into flames.

A section of Highway 99 close to Selma in Fresno County was shut down Saturday after a gas tanker exploded and started a huge fire.

Video of the incident showed towering flames and black smoke as several firefighters and emergency personnel responded to the scene.

THE MASK IS OFF: An LGBTQ nonprofit director was caught on camera saying the critical time to reach children is when puberty begins.

The video of Dr. Stacy Robustelli, then education director for the New Jersey nonprofit HiTOPS, resurfaced this week.

In this video, Robustelli called grades five through eight the “most critical time” because the organization wanted to “catch kids when they’re starting puberty.”

She also said early intervention was important, discussed curriculum for kindergarten through second grade and described HiTOPS as intentionally entering younger grade levels.

NEW: Beaverhead County Montana Sheriff has issued a GO NOW evacuation order for Elkhorn Hotsprings and Maverick Mountain, including all communities south to Shale Creek and Clark Creek on the north end of Grasshopper Valley due to increased activity on the Sand Creek and Bobcat Lakes Fires.

Both are burning on the Beaverhead Deerlodge National Forest; the Sand Creek is now 8,900 acres, and the Bobcat Lakes is 5,513 acres. Firefighters are prioritizing structure protection as additional firefighting resources continue to arrive.

Red Flag conditions remain over the fire areas.

In Other News: Israeli and American brawl after American allegedly tells him “Hitler was right”.

An Israeli man and an American man got into a physical fight at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, Philippines, on August 8.

According to reports, the Israeli said the American called him a “baby killer” and allegedly told him, “Hitler was right, too bad Hitler didn’t finish killing the Jews.” The two then became involved in a physical confrontation before airport staff and a bystander intervened.

Both men were reportedly detained by airport police following the incident.

Not the added heat we like to see on Highway 99!

A gas tanker and a box truck were involved in a fiery crash on Highway 99 in Selma. Despite the intensity of the fire, both drivers were able to safely exit their vehicles and suffered only minor injuries.

This crash is a reminder of how quickly things can go wrong on the highway.

Stay alert. Pay attention. Be aware of the traffic around you. A moment of distraction or an unsafe drift of your vehicle can have serious consequences.

Give yourself space, check your mirrors and blind spots, and always know what’s happening around your vehicle.
