In Amarillo, Texas, a fuel truck collided with a pickup at an intersection, sending both vehicles into the KVII studios building. Police say the pickup occupants fled the scene, but officers later identified the driver and contacted his parents. Investigators believe the pickup driver ran a red light, causing the crash.

NEW: Two people were killed in a helicopter crash in Millard County while battling the massive Widemouth 2 Fire, Utah.

Officials with the National Interagency Fire Center confirmed Saturday that both the pilot and crewmember died in the crash. Their identities have not yet been released.

At about 10 a.m. Friday, the helicopter was reported to have crashed near Richfield, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The county's search and rescue crew responded to the crash, but was unable to reach the site due to the fire. It is unknown if they have since been able to reach the helicopter.

Surprise, surprise. Mamdani’s “free” childcare plan could cost BILLIONS more than he told voters.

Zohran Mamdani estimated universal childcare in New York City would cost roughly $6 billion annually.

A new analysis puts the real price between $8.7 billion and $9.3 billion every year.

That is up to $3.3 BILLION more than advertised.

Researchers say the city could need 10,000 additional childcare seats and 23,000 more workers. City Hall still has not released a complete cost analysis of its own.

This week, the Austin Police (APD) celebrates K9 Brooks’ official last day on duty. Over his eight and a half years of service, he participated in approximately 250 missions. Whether assisting patrol officers or responding to SWAT call-outs, Brooks was always ready for action. Now, he is trading his badge for chew toys—a transition he is sure to enjoy. We wish him the very best in his well-deserved retirement with Officer Butler, who has worked alongside him for almost nine years. Congratulations and thank you for your service, K9 Brooks!

Please, praying for the Golden police officer who was shot in the line of duty this morning.🙏🏻

A Golden Colorado police officer was shot early Saturday morning after a suspect opened fire on responding officers at a Circle K gas station.

Officers responded to the gas station at West Colfax Avenue west of C470 around 2:30 a.m. after receiving a report of a man with a handgun. During the contact, the suspect fired at officers, who returned fire. The suspect was killed.

The officer who was shot was immediately transported to a local hospital. The injury is non-life-threatening.
There is no active threat to the community, police said in Facebook post.

BOOM! Texas Children’s Hospital has been forced into a $10 MILLION settlement over transgender procedures for minors...but is it enough?

Texas Children’s Hospital has agreed to pay $10 million to resolve allegations that it submitted improper insurance claims connected to pediatric gender transition procedures.

The hospital must also open what state and federal officials describe as the nation’s first dedicated detransition clinic by the end of October.

Services will be provided at no cost to patients during the clinic’s first five years.

Five physicians are PERMANENTLY losing their privileges at the hospital, and its bylaws must be changed to prevent prohibited gender transition procedures on children.

Yesterday was a special day at Pineville Junior High as law enforcement officers gathered to welcome Deputy U.S. Marshal Drew Hanson’s daughter on her first day of school. Having local, state, and federal law enforcement present made the occasion even more meaningful, demonstrating the strong bonds and partnerships that exist within the law enforcement community.

Officers were honored to stand together, offer encouragement, and help make her first day back on campus a memorable one. Events like this remind us that law enforcement is about more than public safety; it is also about supporting one another, our families, and the communities we proudly serve.
