I think probably the simplest explanation is that when Congress was drafting these statutes, they still lived in a high-trust society, and it eclipsed their imagination that there would be systemic, widespread, continual lying, fleecing, and organized crime to rip off hundreds of billions of dollars from the American taxpayer, which is what has happened. There needs to be strict, clear, mandatory minimums.

Protesters seized a Madison intersection for nearly two weeks after a police shooting and declared it their own territory. When the city finally moved to clear the street, the radicals lit fires and threw rocks at workers.

Madison police and state patrol stepped in hard, protected the cleaning crews, and restored order. The road is open again.

BREAKING: Multiple people were killed and at least one person was hospitalized in Prospect Hill, North Carolina.

The Caswell County Sheriff's Office responded to a call for service just before 8 a.m. today at 352 Brooks Road in Prospect Hill, NC.

Deputies arriving on scene found multiple people who had been shot. One person was transported to Duke University Hospital with a gunshot wound, and there are multiple other fatalities. Caswell County Sheriff Tony Durden immediately requested the assistance of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI).

SBI Crime scene investigators are on scene processing evidence and conducting interviews. There is NO THREAT to the general public, and the event is contained to the above address.

The Caswell County Sheriff's Office is the lead agency on this case. They are assisted by the SBI, the NC State Highway Patrol, the Prospect Hill Fire Department, Caswell County EMS, Caswell County Emergency Management, Caswell County 911, and the Person County Sheriff's Office.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available through press releases and the SBI and Caswell County Sheriff's Office social media platforms.

Doral Florida Mayor Christi Fraga announced the death of the police officer just after noon on Wednesday.

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a Doral Police Department veteran on Wednesday in Miami-Dade County’s Redland area, according to sources familiar with the case.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area of Southwest 157th Avenue and 160th Street, just after 6:20 a.m. and found a man unresponsove, investigators said.

A U.S. flag waved as the motorcade arrived at the medical examiner’s office in Miami, while many law enforcement officers, including Doral Police officers, stood on the street saluting as a final show of respect.

The City of Doral took to Instagram to confirm one of their officers lost his life but did not provide further details.
