BREAKING: LASD just extended back-to-back double shifts for another 90 days.

For those just tuning in, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is in the middle of a staffing crisis. Deputies continue to be relieved of duty over comparatively minor issues, while command staff has remained in place after three detectives were killed under their watch in a tragedy that resulted in more than $350,000 in Cal/OSHA fines (not to mention the cover-up involving the “missing”grenade).

AND… LASD is in the midst of a budget crisis that has led to supply shortages—including an internal memo suggesting employees bring their own toilet paper to work—despite having an extra half BILLION dollars more in the budget than the previous administration with 30% LESS PERSONNEL and LA Sheriff still could manage the budget.

Now another 90 days of back-to-back double shifts for an already overworked, under appreciated and downright ABUSED line staff. BTW, exhaustion is not a staffing plan.

Yet we’re supposed to believe everything is “under control”.

Today, the Board of Peace reached a HISTORIC agreement for the COMPLETE DISARMAMENT of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza. This is a monumental step toward lasting PEACE and SECURITY.

This agreement is a critical step towards Gaza finally being governed by a new Palestinian government that will work closely with the Board of Peace to help the Palestinian people. At the same time, Israel will have the security it deserves, with Gaza no longer used as a base for terror attacks.

This is a major milestone in the implementation of the Trump 20-Point Plan. The agreement will be carried out in carefully structured phases. As disarmament is completed, Israeli forces will withdraw, and the International Stabilization Force will work with a new Palestinian police force to take responsibility for Gaza being safe for its residents and its neighbors.

One year ago there was a violent raging war, humanitarian crisis and hostages kept in brutal captivity. We have made historic progress and there is still much work to do.

I want to thank the mediators—Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye—for their important efforts, and especially my outstanding team, whose tireless work made this historic breakthrough possible.

The threat that emerged from Gaza on October 7 will NOT be allowed to rebuild!

Under this agreement, Gaza will finally be in the hands of a new Palestinian government that serves its PEOPLE.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL ON THIS AMAZING DEVELOPMENT, THAT EVERYBODY SAID COULD NEVER BE ACHIEVED!

🚨👀 LICENSE PLATE READERS ARE FOR INVESTIGATIONS, NOT PERSONAL BUSINESS.

Two employees at separate Alabama police departments are no longer on the job after audits reportedly uncovered misuse of Flock license plate reader technology.

A Springville officer allegedly used the system to run searches connected to a family member. He resigned after being called into a meeting with department leadership.

In Moody, another employee was fired only THREE DAYS after an investigation was opened.

Both cases have now been referred to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

These systems provide access to deeply sensitive information. Every department using them should have strict safeguards, regular audits and zero tolerance for anyone who abuses that access.

This is what real oversight is supposed to catch.

BREAKING: Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes has resigned, and Mayor Katie Wilson has appointed Deputy Chief Andre Sayles to serve as interim chief, the mayor’s office announced Thursday afternoon.

Barnes was appointed by Mayor Bruce Harrell in late 2024, and the mayor’s office said he made “substantial contributions to public safety in Seattle.”

Sayles, who the mayor named interim chief, has more than 20 years of law enforcement experience, including serving as chief of police in Beloit, Wisconsin, according to the mayor’s office. In 2025, Sayles joined the Seattle Police Department as deputy chief of administration and investigations.
