Prosecutors say an allegedly impaired boater was traveling at an extremely high speed when his pontoon struck and rode over a smaller boat, killing a 48-year-old woman on the Fox River.

Evidence presented at his detention hearing indicated a blood-alcohol concentration of approximately 0.200. Authorities also cited three previous DUI charges and three previous reckless-driving charges.

A judge ordered him held pending further court proceedings.
