NEW: A driver suspected of driving under the influence was arrested Thursday night after he allegedly rear-ended a patrol vehicle.
Treyvon Behrends Wallace, 25, of Goose Creek, is charged with driving under the influence, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, SC.
A deputy was undergoing field training with her field training officer around 9:30 p.m.
The deputies were stopped at a red light in their marked patrol vehicle on North Main Street. After the light turned green and the deputies drove through the intersection, Wallace rear-ended them.
Both deputies were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for their recovery🙏🏻

A Georgia man is accused of fatally attacking the friend who had offered him and his wife a rent-free place to stay after they fell on hard times.
The victim’s family says the suspect had recently been released from jail and needed somewhere to live. Deputies say the victim was found inside the home while the suspect was on the back porch.

"At approximately 1:45 PM, we received a 911 call reference a fire near Rd J NE and Rd 28 NE in the Pearl Hill area near Bridgeport. The fire is being driven to the north/northeast by high winds, and it eventually went 3rd Alarm around 2:25 PM.
The Douglas County Sheriff has issued a Level 2 Fire Evacuation Notice for the area.
The following areas are in a level 2 "Be ready to leave"
Rd 28 NE from Rd J NE to Rd Q NE (Fielder Rd); and every road to the north of this section, to include Rd L NE (Chalk Hills Rd), Rd 30 NE, Rd K NE, Rd M NE, Lone Pine Lake, Judson Lake and Dudley Lake areas. Also included is Brandt's Landing.
Currently, air resources are being utilized, so we ask the public to refrain from impeding rotor and fixed wing operations on the river, and absolutely no public drone use in the area.

On Saturday evening, CAT was patrolling the Five Fountains / Silverleaf neighborhoods after receiving reports of high speeds and reckless driving.
Deputies spotted a 12-year-old on an electric dirt bike near 190th & Nicholas Street. The dirt bike was clocked at 37 mph and ran a stop sign. A traffic stop was attempted near 185th & Honeysuckle, and the rider fled into a grass field. Just after entering the field, the rider wiped out and was taken into custody.
✅ The rider was referred to juvenile court.
✅ Both parents were cited for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Child.
✅ The dirt bike was impounded.
Parents: Allowing your children to violate the rules of the road can result in tragedy, and at the very least, a citation.

An unexpected visitor surprised some municipal workers in the San Bernardino Mountains on Wednesday afternoon. 🐻
Video shows a small black bear walking into the Crestline Village Water District office. The animal got on its hind legs and opened the door, all while employees watched in disbelief from their desks.
According to office manager Josselyn Bryan, the bear left about 20 seconds later, leaving behind just a couple of nose prints.
