BREAKING: "An unprecedented cyber incident."

OpenAI says one of its AI models hacked into another AI company during internal testing.

The victim, Hugging Face, says it had already detected the intrusion last week and suspected an autonomous AI agent was behind it.

OpenAI said the intrusion was caused by a combination of its AI models, which used stolen credentials and a previously unknown vulnerability to access Hugging Face servers.

“AI is accelerating the discovery and exploitation of vulnerabilities,” OpenAI said in its statement. “The primary lesson from this incident is that model security and safety must keep pace with rapidly advancing capabilities.”

The incident adds to growing concerns over AI security, just weeks after President Trump signed an executive order requiring federal vetting of the most advanced AI models before public release.

BREAKING: West Hollywood is dealing with what looks like another water main break. Crews are on-site at Santa Monica Boulevard and Laurel Avenue, where water is pooling in intersections and driveways. This is about a mile away from last week’s Sunset Boulevard pipe burst, where repair crews were still working as of Thursday.

NEW: Gang Member Arrested After High-Speed Pursuit; Three Special Interest Aliens from China Apprehended

As part of Gov Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star to enhance border security and public safety, TxDPS Troopers arrested a documented gang member from Houston following a high-speed pursuit in Maverick County.

The arrest resulted in the apprehension of eight illegal immigrants—including five from Mexico and three Special Interest Aliens from China.

Texas DPS remains committed to working alongside our law enforcement partners to disrupt transnational criminal organizations, combat human smuggling, and keep dangerous criminals off our streets.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the men, women, and families of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department after two officers were shot in the line of duty overnight.🙏🏻

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: On July 22, 2026, shortly before 10:30 p.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) East District officers responded to reports of a disturbance between multiple people in the 8000 block of E 37th Street. A 911 caller reported that a male involved was possibly armed with a gun. 

Officers arrived on the scene and encountered a male outside. During the encounter, the male fired shots, striking two IMPD officers. At least three officers returned fire, striking the suspect at least once. 

Officers rendered medical aid to both the injured officers and the suspect. One officer was transported to an area hospital by a fellow officer in a patrol car while medics transported the other officer. Both officers are in stable condition. The suspect was transported by medics to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

California law requires juveniles convicted of even the most serious crimes, including murder, to serve their sentences in county juvenile halls, with release required on or before their 26th birthday. Many juveniles convicted of murder serve only 2-3 years before being released.

Gary Grover was convicted as a juvenile of murder and attempted murder. Since his release, our Gang Suppression Unit has arrested him 3 times for illegal firearm possession. He led Deputies in a vehicle pursuit, crashed into innocent motorists, failed to appear in court 4 times, accumulated multiple felony no bail warrants, and once again required a foot pursuit before being taken back into custody.

“Reforms” to California’s juvenile justice laws have gone too far. Enough is enough.

An Oklahoma jury found Cherie Walker guilty of enabling child s*xual abuse and six counts of child neglect after prosecutors said she failed to protect her 11-year-old daughter from repeated abuse by Walker’s husband.

DNA evidence confirmed that the husband fathered the child’s baby.

Jurors recommended life in prison on every count. Formal sentencing remains pending.

In the past two months, three officers in and around my district in Northwest Indiana have been shot in the line of duty.
