We are saddened to share the passing of retired K9 Tino. 🐾

Tino joined PBSO in 2017 as our agency’s first gun detection K9, helping recover murder weapons, discarded firearms, and guns hidden from law enforcement. His work helped pave the way for a program that has since grown to three gun detection K9s. After eight years of dedicated service alongside his handler, Tino officially retired in February 2025.

More than a partner, Tino was a loyal friend with a personality that left an impression on everyone he met. His legacy will continue through the program he helped build and the lives he touched along the way.

Rest easy, K9 Tino. Thank you for your service. You will be deeply missed buddy. 🐾

BREAKING: New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill says MVC software error, resulted in the voter registration of approximately 6,600 non-U.S. citizens, between June 2023 and June 2024.

"Last week I learned that a serious software error in New Jersey’s Motor Vehicle System led to the registration of roughly 6,600 people who indicated that they were not U.S. citizens between June 2023 and June 2024, almost three years prior to my taking office. These individuals answered "no" when asked on a keypad whether they were a U.S. citizen when applying for drivers' licenses and identification cards, but through no fault of their own, the system registered them anyway.

This happened under the previous administration and, upon learning this information, I immediately ordered my chief counsel to launch an investigation to get to the bottom of what occurred. I also ordered the removal of any residents from our voter rolls who were erroneously added between June 2023 and June 2024. The new MVC Administrator that I appointed has begun the process of replacing the vendor responsible for administering the system.

Our preliminary analysis shows fewer than 400 individuals who were newly registered for the first time because of the error voted. They were registered as Democrats, Republicans and Unaffiliated voters and were scattered across the state.

I want to underscore how seriously I take this matter. As a military veteran who swore an oath to defend our Constitution, and as a former federal prosecutor, I believe the integrity of our elections is fundamental to our democracy. I am appalled by the reckless failures that allowed this to happen and the lack of transparency shown by those in charge at the time. This failure didn’t occur under my watch, but accountability starts now. I am taking action to prevent anything like it from occurring in the future and make sure those responsible are held accountable.

As the Trump Administration tries to weaponize elections for political gain, I am ensuring we protect our elections. Let me be clear: Donald Trump has zero credibility on the issue of election integrity. For more than ten years, he has worked to undermine Americans' faith in our elections by spreading lies about legitimate election results, attempting to overturn a free and fair election, encouraging an attack on our Capitol when he couldn't accept the will of the voters, and defunding election security at the federal level.

The difference is simple: when we find a problem, we don't hide it, deny it, or invent conspiracies. We investigate it, we fix it, and we tell the public. That's what accountability and good governance look like, and that's exactly what my administration is doing.

New Jerseyans should have confidence that every eligible citizen can vote, every lawful vote will be counted, and every reasonable step will be taken to protect the integrity of our elections. That's my responsibility, and it's one I will never stop fighting to uphold."

Watch: Karen Bass is confronted by local LA news on her plan to repair the broken water pipelines, and she dodges each question like she's playing dodgeball.

"There's 7,400 miles of water mains in the city of Los Angeles, some of them dating back 120 years. We're only going to be replacing 45 miles of it this year. That's like less than 1%. If you do the math, it will take 164 yearsβ€”"

Bass: "Well...also...The issue there is how we speed that upβ€”"

"Where does the money come from?"

Bass: "Hold on......"

LA needs a new mayor.

ICYMI: Bodycam footage captured a lighthearted moment on the Las Vegas Strip when a Las Vegas Metro Police Department officer noticed someone filming near an active police scene. While officers conducted a prisoner transport operation in the background, the encounter unexpectedly turned into a viral moment.

The clip gained widespread attention because of the officer's playful reaction to the camera. According to widely shared footage and public reporting, the officer walked over, leaned directly into the lens with a big smile, and jokingly asked, "Everything OK?" The brief interaction contrasted sharply with the serious law enforcement activity taking place nearby, creating a memorable and humorous moment for viewers.

The footage spread across social media because it showcased a different side of police work, highlighting a friendly and personable interaction between an officer and a member of the public. While the prisoner transport continued in the background, the officer's spontaneous response became the focal point of the clip, earning millions of views online.

Thanks to President Trump and his historic leadership. Law enforcement has been given the tools to go after vicious gangs like Tren de Aragua for exactly what they are!

This FBI will stop at nothing to protect the American people.

Over the last three days, our Search and Rescue (SAR) teams have been working tirelessly on a grueling, multi-day search and rescue operation on the rugged slopes of Iron Mountain. Iron Mountain is infamous for its incredibly steep, unforgiving terrain and heavy brush, making our search efforts exceptionally challenging. Over this 3-day effort, SDMRT volunteersβ€”working alongside LASD - Montrose Search and Rescue Team, Santa Clarita Valley Search & Rescue Team, Altadena Mountain Rescue Team, Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team,  Malibu Search and Rescue Team (Malibu SAR) - LASD, Orange County Sheriff’s Department, CA SAR, San Bernardino Mountain Search and Rescue Team, Ventura County East Valley Search and Rescue Team, β€”covered miles of dense canyons, high-angle slopes, and drainage areas. We want to extend a massive thank you to all the dedicated SAR personnel, and air support teams, Los Angeles County Fire - Air Operations (Copter 11), National Guard (UH 60- Blackhawk), CHP - Air Operations (H-80), LASD Aero Bureau (Air 5) Civil Air Patrol (ATAC) who braved the elements and worked inserting, and hoisting our searchers and keeping the airspace safe. Your commitment to bringing lost or injured hikers home safely never ceases to amaze us. As always, please remember to hike smart. The backcountry is beautiful but unforgiving. Always carry the 10 essentials, tell someone exactly where you are going, and stick to the trail.

Accidents happen, and they can happen in a matter of seconds.

Recently, our officers responded after a mom accidentally locked her keys inside her vehicle with her child still inside. She called 911 right away, stayed with her child, and officers safely reunited them within minutes.

If this ever happens to you:
- Call 911 immediately.
- Stay with your child.
- Create shade if possible and watch for signs of heat-related illness.

A quick call and a calm response can make all the difference
