On June 20, 2026, Denver Police Kenfield, who is assigned to District 3, was on patrol when he was flagged down by a community member who had just been discharged from an area hospital. The individual explained that they had been transported earlier in the day and did not have a phone to call family. They were lost, unsure how to get home, and attempts to reach their family went unanswered. Without hesitation, Sergeant Kenfield stepped in to help, providing the individual with a courtesy ride home, ensuring they wouldn’t be stranded all night waiting for assistance.👏

Recently, Animal Protection Officer Krzensinski and Deputy Chapman answered a report of two donkeys wandering down Escape Route in Fourmile Canyon. After safely wrangling the pair, they tracked down the owner, who arrived to take the adventurous duo home. Great teamwork!

The suspect who poured gasoline and ignited it with a lighter and fireworks outside an NYC federal building has been identified as former US army soldier Andrew Arrabaca.
Officials say after he pulled out an airsoft rifle and fired several pellets. He also had six fireworks, two axes, a hammer, a machete, and 3 knives on him.
The FBI says he had a sign on a cart stating "ICE off our streets." He is an anti-American, anti-government extremist," James Barnacle FBI assistant director in charge said.

At midnight, the same time tragedy struck 14 years ago, APD officers, loved ones, survivors and community members gathered at the 7/20 Memorial Garden for a vigil to remember and celebrate those lives lost.
As part of the tradition, officers conducted a silent procession past the Century 16 theater before arriving at the 7/20 Memorial Garden.
It is a powerful reminder that, even 14 years later, this tragedy is not forgotten. The procession reflects the strength and resilience of our community, as well as the unwavering commitment of the first responders who answered the call that night. Many of the same officers who responded on July 20, 2012, continue to return each year to honor the victims and stand beside those forever impacted.
Today, we remember the 12 lives taken, the 70 people injured, including 58 who suffered gunshot wounds, and the countless others whose lives were changed forever.
