A bold bear was filmed stealing bread from a freezer in Vancouver, British Columbia, on July 14. Video filmed by Michele Borsa shows the bear grabbing the bread and putting its paws on a gate, with only a bit of wood separating them. The animal hopped down and finished the snack, despite Borsa’s warnings.🐻

NEW: A suspect accused of stabbing two people in downtown Richmond on Saturday afternoon was shot multiple times after stabbing a Virginia State Police Special Agent, who was serving as a member of the U.S. Marshals Capitol Area Regional Fugitive Task Force during the incident.

Richmond Police Chief Rick Edwards said this all started with an investigation into two stabbings, which happened several hours apart in the downtown area early Saturday morning.

The first stabbing happened around 1:30 a.m. on East Marshall Street, where Richmond Police said an individual was sleeping on a bench when they were stabbed. Chief Edwards said the individual was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries and is expected to recover.

Several hours later, Richmond Ambulance Authority got a medical call along East Cary Street, where crews found a man suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound.

Chief Edwards said when officers arrived to the scene, they confirmed the man was suffering from a stab wound and later died at the scene.

Praying for all involvedπŸ™πŸ½

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: Hero cops in Tucson, Arizona, stopped a gunman who opened fire on a downtown crowd, leaving nine people critically wounded in a shooting early Sunday.

Shots rang out in the β€œvibrant” area at East Congress Street at around 2 a.m. β€” sparking cops on foot patrol to rush in, Tucson Police Department’s Public Information Officer, Frank Magos, said during a press conference Sunday afternoon.

β€œThose officers immediately began running towards the sound of the gunfire and, in doing so, they came upon the suspect,” Magos told reporters.

β€œOfficers gave that suspect repeated commands before, ultimately, one of those officers discharged his department-issued firearm at the suspect, striking him,” he continued.

The suspect, a man whose identity is not being released publicly, was taken to a hospital in life-threatening condition.

LAPD is so demoralized under the socialists running this city, they don't even bother trying to catch criminals anymore. We've normalized pure anarchy. Really sad to see this city just give up on itself.

Yesterday and into the early morning hours of today, the FBI responded to a hostage situation in Shasta-Trinity National Forest in Redding, CA – where two individuals took two U.S. Forest Service biologists as hostages.

FBI Sacramento, including our Crisis Negotiators, SWAT Team, and Evidence Response Team all arrived on scene, including a tactical deployment of our Hostage Rescue Team from Quantico. After nearly 10 hours of negotiations, the hostages were safely released – and subjects Joseph Henrichsen and Phoenix Henrichsen surrendered and were immediately taken into custody.

I am proud of the immediate and professional work of these elite FBI teams to assist our partners for a safe and successful resolution.

Oklahoma City honors the life, legacy of M.T. Berry, first Black police chief, former assistant city manager

Oklahoma City’s first Black police chief and former Assistant City Manager, M.T. Berry, passed away from a lengthy battle with brain cancer on July 17. He was 75.

Berry began his career with the City of Oklahoma City on Sept. 1, 1970, as a community service officer in the Oklahoma City Police Department. One year later, he was sworn in as a police officer. Throughout his career, he served in several areas of the OKCPD, including the jail, records office, public information office and the patrol division.

Berry’s work ethic, professionalism and integrity quickly distinguished him as an invaluable member of the department and on March 3, 1998, Berry was appointed Oklahoma City’s 47th Police Chief. He served in that role for five years.

As Police Chief, Berry oversaw the planning, organizing and direction of all police services for the City. He led nearly 1,300 employees and managed a budget of $119.6 million.

Through nearly five decades of service, he led with quiet strength and a profound sense of purpose, leaving a legacy that continues to make our city stronger and all of us better.

Rest Easy Brother. Prayers for his family of blue and blood.πŸ™πŸ½

There is no such thing as a "struggle with police."

It's called resisting arrest.

CENTCOM Update on Recently Fallen U.S. Service Members

TAMPA, Fla. β€” Yesterday, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the passing of two U.S. service members and the missing status of one in Jordan following an Iranian attack on July 17. After a thorough search, U.S. military personnel found unidentified remains at the location earlier today. An examination process to verify the remains is ongoing.

Separately, a U.S. service member in northern Iraq was killed in action July 18 during a controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian one-way attack drone. A second service member was wounded and continues to receive medical treatment for a minor injury.

CENTCOM is withholding additional information, including the identities of the missing and fallen warriors, out of respect for the families during the notification process.
