Data Centers in Ohio are preparing to discharge their water usage directly into lakes and streams and the EPA is working on permits to let them do it

β€œThe Ohio EPA is drafting permits to let that wastewater flow straight into our lakes and streams. Five year permits, no guarantee of a sewage treatment plant on site, just straight into the river if that's what's nearby”

This is very real, the EPA is actually doing this, and there are real concerns:

Concerns raised by residents include

- Thermal pollution: Hot water can harm aquatic life.
- Chemicals: Potential for biocides, metals, or other additives.
- Massive withdrawals and discharges of water strain local water bodies, especially during droughts
- Environmental groups like Great Lakes groups warn of risks to drinking water, recreation and ecosystems

WATCH: President Donald J. Trump speaks at White House

POTUS on Iran: "We're not going to put up with it. We are just going forward β€” we're attacking them tonight. We're taking out all their capability for anything having to do with the Strait... What they're doing is being very foolish, very stupid."

POTUS: "We're doing something very dramatic and very important for the people of Utah."

Gov. Cox: "This is a big day for Utah. POTUS did something very similar several years ago during his first term... we believe that under the Antiquities Act, it's very clear that these monument designations are supposed to be the smallest area possible to protect the antiquities, and these multimillion acre monuments that are bigger than the state of Delaware certainly do not fit that designation."

"There are reports about Iranian drones in Cuba..."

POTUS: "Well, if they do have that, and they might very well have that, we'll take care of it... we'll take care of it in short order. We're not going to have a problem. We're not going to allow that to happen."

POTUS on Iran: "They made a deal; they broke it β€” probably 10 times β€” and they killed a lot of people... They've been negotiating for 47 years, but nobody has ever hit them militarily. We're hitting them very hard."

Praying for the Wilson Police Officer and Wilson County Sheriff’s Deputy who were shot in the line of duty today while stopping a violent suspect.πŸ™πŸ»

UPDATE: A 19-year-old woman was critically injured after being shot multiple times outside the Wilson County Courthouse on the morning of Monday, July 13, 2026.

According to the Wilson County Sheriff's Office, the shooting occurred at approximately 10:40 a.m. outside the courthouse in downtown Wilson. Authorities said 21-year-old Abdul Karim Mustafa of Wilson approached the woman and fired multiple rounds before fleeing the area while continuing to discharge his firearm.

As responding officers searched for the suspect, Mustafa allegedly exchanged gunfire with law enforcement near Goldsboro Street. A Wilson Police Department officer was shot in the arm, and a Wilson County deputy was struck in his ballistic vest. Both officers suffered non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to recover.

Mustafa was taken into custody on a nearby street without further incident. He has been charged with attempted murder, going armed to the terror of the public, discharging a firearm within city limits, and damage to real property. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.

The 19-year-old victim was transported to a hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery. She remains in critical condition.

During a press conference, Wilson County Sheriff Calvin Woodard said investigators believe the shooting was retaliatory and connected to a fatal shooting in Wilson several weeks ago in which a 16-year-old was killed. According to the sheriff, the injured woman is related to the individual charged in that earlier homicide. Investigators have reviewed security camera footage as part of the case.

The Wilson Police Department is leading the investigation into the shooting of the woman, while the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the investigation into the exchange of gunfire involving law enforcement officers.

This is California’s most iconic tourist destinationβ€”the Santa Monica Pier – this morning.

Instead of welcoming millions of visitors with clean beaches and safe public spaces, people are greeted by overflowing trash, homeless encampments, benches used as makeshift bedrooms, and the smell of urine and feces hanging in the air. Parking lots are littered with garbage, sidewalks are neglected, and parts of the area feel more like a post-apocalyptic movie set than one of the world’s most famous beach destinations.

California politician Gavin Newsom and his trash sidekick Corrupt Karen Bass have β€œmysteriously” MADE 32 Billions dollars of tax payer money disappear into their pockets without a sjngle homeless person seeing even $1. Tens of billions of dollars on homelessness programs over the past several years, yet residents and visitors continue to ask the same question: Why do conditions in places like this still look like this?

Regardless of where you stand politically, this should not be considered acceptable. Residents, businesses, and the millions of tourists who visit Santa Monica every year deserve clean, safe, and well-maintained public spaces.

When will this finally be cleaned up?

It is with profound sadness West Redding Fire Department, Connecticut, announces the loss of Cooper Whiteside. β€œCoop” was known to many and served over many years as Firefighter, EMT, Lieutenant, Training Captain and Vice President.

Cooper was more than a fellow first responder; he was a familiar face to many throughout our community. His dedication to serving others was evident throughout his time as a Captain with the West Redding Volunteer Fire Department, his service with the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company, and most recently as a police officer with the Bridgeport Police Department. His commitment to helping others and his passion for public service left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

A life dedicated to serving and protecting others has been taken far too soon. His service, commitment, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Rest Easy Brother. Prayers for his family of red and blood.πŸ™πŸ»
