It is with profound sadness that we announces the passing of Corrections Deputy Sheriff Jeffrey McInnis, who passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, following a medical emergency at his home. Deputy McInnis began his career with Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office in January 1996 and faithfully served the citizens of Palm Beach County and this agency for more than 30 years. Throughout his career, he earned the respect and admiration of his fellow deputies, supervisors, and the countless lives he touched through his dedicated service. Deputy McInnis was proud to serve the agency with his brother, retired Sergeant Michael McInnis.

Rest Easy Brother. Prayers for his family of blue and blood.πŸ™πŸ»

Police leader blasts β€˜spineless’ Minneapolis officials for Somali gang problem, staffing woes

Joe Gamaldi, the national vice president of the Fraternal Order of Police, joined Liz Collin on her podcast.

Gamaldi weighed in on some of the problems with policing in Minneapolis as yet another violent summer in Minneapolis unfolds on the heels of an alleged sex scandal that led the former chief of police to pack his bags.

He also discussed problems with crime and leadership as as the department continues to struggle meeting minimum staffing levels.  β€œIt’s very clear that they are willing to put their failed ideology over the safety of their community members, and it’s sickening,” Gemaldi said.

HERO ALERT: Officer Ralph Mondesir is part of the Gwinnett County Police Department in Georgia.

One afternoon, he was sitting in his patrol car finishing paperwork when someone ran up to him for help. They told him an 18-month-old baby wasn’t breathing. Mondesir quickly got out of his car and ran to the child. He picked the baby up and started CPR.

An off-duty nurse stepped in to give rescue breaths while Mondesir pressed on the boy’s chest. They worked side by side for seven long minutes.

At first, the baby didn’t move, but then his pulse came back and he started breathing again. Paramedics arrived soon after and rushed him to the hospital. Doctors said the baby survived because of the fast work of Officer Mondesir and the nurse.

Mondesir said, β€œI got a little emotional towards the end. I just did what I was trained to do, and I will always keep doing it no matter what.”

He truly is a hero.πŸ’™
