Thanks to Pueblo Police & Pueblo Firefighters who helped us recover this cinnamon-colored black bear today from the south side. The ~90lb yearling was immobilized and later given a wake-up drug for a trip south to better bear habitat. 🐻

NEW: LAPD Gang and Narcotics Division (GND) officers, working alongside the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, were tracking a murder suspect wanted out of the Chicago area when the suspect fled, crashed, and rolled his vehicle before escaping on foot through a Hollywood neighborhood.
Following a brief search, the suspect was taken into custody without further incident and booked on a felony homicide warrant out of Illinois.

Northern California forecast: A cooler day is on tap Friday across Northern California as the onshore breeze returns, bringing a breezy afternoon and a short break from the warming trend. The cooldown will not last long as the onshore flow is expected to weaken again over the weekend, allowing warmer air and monsoon moisture to move into the region. As that moisture arrives, clouds and humidity will increase, and by Sunday, parts of the Valley could start to feel muggy by our standards. The incoming moisture will also increase the chances of unsettled weather in the mountains. First thunderstorm chances in the Sierra will arrive Sunday afternoon, with varying potential for storms returning each day next week as moisture continues to stream in. There is also a small chance for a few showers in the Valley on Monday.
