NEW: Security video shown in court Tuesday traced the movements prosecutors say Tyler Robinson made on the Utah Valley University campus before and after the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

The surveillance footage spans roughly 16 hours, beginning around  a.m. Sept. 10, 2025, and continuing until  a.m. the following day.

According to Utah Department of Public Safety Agent David Hull, the video shows a vehicle investigators identified as Robinson's arriving at a campus parking garage. Prosecutors say Robinson, wearing a maroon shirt and shorts, made contact with Turning Point USA representatives as they prepared for Kirk's event before leaving campus about an hour later.

Hull testified Robinson later returned after parking in a nearby neighborhood. Surveillance video showed him eating at the Chick-fil-A inside the Sorensen Student Center before walking to a wooded area on the northeast side of campus and then leaving campus again around 11 a.m.

Prosecutors say Robinson returned just before noon wearing a dark shirt, jeans and a hat, but the same shoes seen earlier in the day. Hull testified the man in the video appeared to have a noticeable limp and investigators believe he was concealing a rifle inside his pants.

Hull also testified a Spanish Fork police officer stopped Robinson's vehicle around  a.m. Sept. 11. The officer, acting on what Hull described as "cop intuition," recorded the license plate. Investigators later determined the vehicle was registered to Robinson and his mother after Robinson surrendered to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Robinson has not yet entered a plea to charges stemming from Kirk's death. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

Public concern over crime is reshaping justice systems around the world.

From Central and South America to Europe and the United States, governments are responding to fear, violence, organized crime, and public frustration with more aggressive policing strategies and expanded correctional capacity.

The bigger question: are these shifts temporary political responses, or the beginning of a long-term global change in criminal justice policy?

Yesterday, we celebrated the retirement of Officer Mejia and an incredible 31 years of service to the Anaheim community.

Her dedication helped make Anaheim a better, safer place, and she leaves behind memories that will stay with everyone fortunate enough to work alongside her.

To say she was "well-liked" doesn't even begin to describe the difference she made. Officer Mejia has been the heart of this department, always ready with a hug, a smile, or words of encouragement when they were needed most. Her positivity lifted those around her, and her compassion brought comfort to countless community members during some of life's most difficult moments.

Now it's time for a new adventure. Knowing Officer Mejia, retirement won't keep her still for long. As you continue traveling the world, don't forget to think of Anaheim every now and then. We'll certainly be thinking of you.

BREAKING: An illegal alien from Mexico was shot and killed in Houston by an ICE officer following a confrontation.

According to ICE, officers were trying to pull him over when he evaded arrest, rammed the ICE vehicle, and tried to run over the ICE officer. As a result, ICE tells me the officer shot the suspect in self-defense. He was taken to the hospital and died.

Full statement from ICE:

β€œOn July 7, 2026, at approximately 6:50 AM CT, ICE law enforcement attempted to conduct a vehicle stop as part of a targeted enforcement operation to arrest an illegal alien. The driver of the vehicle, Lorenzo Salgado Araujoβ€”an illegal alien from Mexicoβ€”attempted to evade arrest. From information we are receiving, he rammed an ICE law enforcement vehicle, refused to follow multiple verbal commands, and weaponized his vehicle in an attempt to run over an ICE law enforcement officer resulting in our officer firing his weapon in self-defense.

β€œThe driver was struck, and emergency services were immediately contacted. The driver was transported to the hospital where he passed away from his injuries. The FBI is leading the investigation and is on the scene. This is a developing situation, and we will update the public when more information is available.”
