NEW: A Bibb County Georgia Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle and a passenger vehicle collided Sunday night at the intersection of Georgia 247 and Napier Avenue, sending both drivers to the hospital, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
The crash happened at about 9:53 p.m. on June 28. A Georgia State Patrol trooper was dispatched to investigate the crash involving injuries.
According to the preliminary investigation, a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputy was traveling south on Georgia 247 with the patrol vehicle’s emergency lights and siren activated while responding to a call for service.
As the deputy entered the intersection at Napier Avenue, the patrol vehicle collided with a passenger vehicle traveling east on Napier Avenue, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
Both drivers were injured and transported to Atrium Health for medical evaluation and treatment.

NEW: Murder charges filed in deadly crash that killed 2, including LAPD officer.

A 36-year-old man, Mario Joseph Bickham, has been arrested and charged with two counts of murder for a 2025 crash on the 405 Freeway that killed LAPD Sergeant Shiou Deng, 53, and civilian Jesus Garcia, 34. The crash occurred when Bickham, traveling at 112 mph, struck Deng’s patrol vehicle and Garcia’s disabled car. Bickham has a history of speeding violations. Prosecutors seek to hold him without bail or set bail at $4 million. Deng, a 26-year department veteran, was remembered for his work in the mental evaluation unit helping society’s most vulnerable.

The countdown is on, after six years of COVID-induced tele-work, July 1st marks the date that Governor Newsom is ordering state workers back to the office four days a week. Luna has officially fledged!

Just one day after his sibling Sandy took her first flight, Luna took to the skies from Jackie and Shadow’s famous nest in San Bernardino National Forest.

After watching Sandy’s less-than-graceful first flight the day before (see our earlier video!), it seems Luna was ready for his own big moment.

Both eaglets are expected to remain in the area for several weeks as they continue building strength and practice their flying skills before eventually leaving the nest territory on their own.

BREAKING: SCOTUS strikes down President Trump's executive order limiting birthright citizenship in 5-4 decision. Justices Roberts and Barrett joined the liberals. From the majority opinion:

"Children born in the United States to parents unlawfully or temporarily present are “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States and are citizens at birth under the Fourteenth Amendment’s Citizenship Clause."

During border coverage, we saw a lot of women who were very obviously in late term pregnancies who were crossing the river illegally, likely knowing that giving birth on US soil would immediately give their child US citizenship.

There have been instances where women have given birth at Border Patrol stations immediately after being apprehended.
