Praying for the two Saskatchewan RCMP police officers who were shot in the line of duty last week.๐๐ป
What began as a routine assault call in Melville quickly turned into a terrifying ordeal after two Saskatchewan RCMP officers were shot while responding to a disturbance, leaving the small community shaken.
At around 9:35 p.m. on June 21, Melville RCMP responded to reports of an assault at a home on 8th Avenue West. As officers approached the residence, gunfire erupted and both officers were struck. Police say an adult male suspect was taken into custody following a tense overnight standoff. Charges have not yet been laid, and the allegations have not been proven in court. Another person who exited the home with the suspect was detained but later released after being cleared of involvement.
The two officers were rushed to hospital in Regina with serious injuries. RCMP later confirmed both officers are in stable condition and continue receiving medical care. The shooting has sent shockwaves through Melville, a close-knit community of fewer than 4,500 residents. A large police response followed, including specialized RCMP units and Regina SWAT. Police said no public safety alert was issued because the suspect remained contained inside the home. Support has poured in across Saskatchewan. Premier Scott Moe and the City of Melville both shared messages of support, thanking the officers for their courage and wishing them a full recovery.
Saskatchewan RCMPโs Serious Crimes Unit continues to investigate and will also conduct an internal review of the incident. This comes amid a troubling string of violent incidents involving police officers across Canada, including a deadly shooting in Montreal on Monday that left one officer dead, another critically injured, and a civilian killed. As investigators work to determine exactly what unfolded in Melville, many are focused on the recovery of the two injured officers and the growing dangers law enforcement faces while responding to calls that can turn violent in seconds.

Rick Caruso: "As a former President of the Los Angeles Police Commission, I know firsthand that police accountability is essential. Officers must serve the public with professionalism, integrity, and respect, and they should be held accountable when they fall short. But what Los Angeles does not need is more political control over the LAPD by elected officials who have openly supported defunding the police, cutting public safety budgets, and weakening our criminal justice system. We already have civilian oversight through the Police Commissionโa system that has provided accountability while preserving the independence necessary for effective policing. Letโs focus on what works: holding officers accountable, supporting public safety, and ensuring the LAPD has the resources needed to keep our neighborhoods and families safe."

NEW: Police in Canada are warning of possible copycat attacks after three people died in a shootout in Montreal and the assailantโs lengthy manifesto, which called for โa new bloodlettingโ, was posted online by a far-right outlet.
The document contains many of the hallmark grievances of the โinvoluntary celibacyโ โ or โincelโ โ movement in addition racist and misogynistic conspiracy theories.
After the shooting, Canadaโs federal police sent a bulletin to police agencies across the country warning the gunmanโs manifesto was โallegedly encouraging citizens to shoot police officersโ. The alert called on police to โexercise extreme caution and remain highly vigilantโ.
The 104-page document, which was later posted in full by Rebel News (rebelne.ws/4eBYI9T), does not specifically mention targeting police, but blames feminism, liberalism and capitalism to explain the โsituation of terrible loneliness, isolation, and social degradationโ he believes men currently face.
The document also lists what the shooter claims are โvalid potential class A targetsโ, including large investment banks, powerful politicians, โinfluential Zionistsโ, corporate executives in private healthcare, companies involved in environmental destruction, plastic surgeons and cryptocurrency speculators. The manifesto also mentions targeting โthe headquarters of international pornography companiesโ.
It ends with the words: โBe unflinching, go forth, and KILL THEM ALL!โ
Montreal police identified the slain officer as Mohamed Lamine Benredouane, 34, who had been with the force since 2021. The civilian, Michel Mizrahi, was identified as an Israeli citizen by Israelโs consulate in Montreal.

BREAKING: Rep. Espaillat concedes. Mamdani-backed socialists have officially gone 3/3 and won all of their respective Democratic primaries for U.S. House in New York tonight, Bill Melugin reports.
Their positions are some of the most extreme & far left Dems have seen:
Darializa Avila Chevalier (NY-13): Abolish prisons, abolish ICE, abolish borders, defund the police, and โall deportations are wrongโ, including for violent criminals. She has called the U.S. an โeffing disgraceโ, and said in a prior social media post โI forgot to get napkins so I just wiped my hand on the American flag behind me.โ
Claire Valdez (NY-7): Grant citizenship and voting rights to illegal aliens, use taxpayer funds for all transgender treatments, & eliminate private health insurance.
Brad Lander (NY-10): Abolish ICE, forgive all student loans (almost $2 trillion worth), expand the Supreme Court.
Mamdani gets a clean sweep, a bad night for Hakeem Jeffries, and big questions for where the Democratic Party is heading.
