Vaping death toll rises to 28: Panic over e-cigarette use across the US continues as New York City sues online stores for selling to children and Washington bans flavored vapes. Mysterious vaping illnesses have claimed the lives of 28 people in the US with the first state deaths reported in Texas, Utah and Massachusetts. Additional deaths have been confirmed in California and Georgia, bringing their respective death tolls to three and two. On Wednesday, New York City officials announced the city has has sued nearly two dozen online e-cigarette retailers, accusing them of selling their products to underage New Yorkers. The lawsuit filing comes just one day after a Bronx teenager's death became the state's first linked to the mysterious vaping illness that has struck over 1,000 Americans. An employee told police the man came in and brandished a handgun, demanding money. The clerk eventually threw money on the counter and the robber placed his gun on the countertop to put the money into a plastic bag. BREAKING NEWS: Man held down by police carrying Tasers after Manchester Arndale stabbing incident

Police have been called to reports of multiple injuries after a stabbing close to Manchester Arndale.

Pictures and video on social media show large numbers of officers attending on the Exchange Square side of the shopping centre. Senior police sources confirmed to the MEN that "several" people had been stabbed.

It is not known at this stage if the attacks has resulted in any fatalities. Emergency services say four people have been injured in the incident, sources say more than one person has been stabbed. One video, recorded outside the shopping mall on Church Street, shows officers deploying a Taser and holding a man to the group.
