Please, praying for the San Antonio police officer who was shot in the line of duty this afternoon.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

A man is dead after he killed his wife and injured a San Antonio Police Department officer during a shooting Friday at a Stone Oak home, according to SAPD Chief William McManus.
The shooting happened around noon in the 100 block of Red Hawk Ridge, near Hardy Oak Boulevard.
SAPD entered the home after 3 p.m. and found the man dead. During a news conference Friday afternoon, McManus said the man had a pistol and turned the gun on himself.
The man shot his way through the glass doors and made his way inside the home, McManus said. SAPD believes the man did not live at the residence.
The husband later killed โ€œhis estranged, or soon to be estranged, wifeโ€ and barricaded himself inside, McManus said.
The chief said there were two children inside the house who lived with their mother, the wife. The children are OK, according to McManus. He could not confirm if the man was the father of the two children.
McManus said the man shot a police officer in the lower abdomen during the early hours of the barricade, which lasted nearly three hours. The condition of the officer is unclear.
Authorities believe the husband may be involved in a biker gang, McManus said.
The shooting drew a large response from law enforcement, and multiple residents in the neighborhood were evacuated from their homes.

Warning graphic!

Canoga Park: On June 13, 2026, at around 8:55 p.m., Topanga Patrol Division police officers responded to a radio call for a โ€œScreaming Womanโ€ inside of an apartment unit, located in the 7500 block of Jordan Avenue.

The officers met with the person reporting (PR) who directed the officers to the apartment unit. The officers contacted the resident in the apartment unit; while speaking with the resident, a large dog was by her side barking at the officers. The officers asked her to secure the dog, and the resident closed her door momentarily. She re-opened the door, and the dog exited the apartment. Once outside of the apartment, the dog charged at one of the officers, resulting in an Officer-Involved Shooting.

The Los Angeles Department of Animal Services was notified, responded to the scene, and took custody of the deceased dog. The dog owner was at scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Force Investigation Division (FID) investigators responded to the scene and are investigating this incident. No community members or officers were injured as a result of this incident.

JD Vance NAILED IT ๐ŸŽฏ

โ€œIf everything is Jew Hatred, then nothing is Jew hatred.โ€

He started off by saying:
โ€œCriticism of Israel often bleeds into โ€˜Jew Hateโ€™.. Charlie Kirk was very worried about Israeli influence in American politics, and he really disliked antisemitism.

In the same way sometimes criticism of the Israeli government can be expressed in a way thatโ€™s antisemitic, itโ€™s just not the case that every criticism of Bibi Netanyahuโ€™s policy decisions leads to antisemitism or is antisemitic.

Sometimes advocates for Israel make two massive mistakes:

1. Not delineating between Americaโ€™s interests and Israeli interests because itโ€™s not always the same

2. Always conflating criticism of the Israeli government with Jew Hatred โ€” โ€œif everything is Jew Hatred, then nothing is Jew hatredโ€” just like how progressives for 20 years called everything racist..and if everything is racist, then nothing is racist.โ€

NEW: The final Philadelphia police officer wounded during last weekendโ€™s shootout in Wynnefield has been released from the hospital.

According to reports, the 30-year-old officer was discharged from Penn Presbyterian Medical Center on Friday afternoon.
The officer was one of three Philadelphia police officers shot on June 13 during a confrontation with Eric Franks, 57, near 54th and Arlington Streets.
Investigators say officers were attempting to take Franks into custody when he allegedly produced a handgun and opened fire.

Three officers were struck during the exchange.
Police returned fire, fatally wounding Franks at the scene.
The other two injured officers, including a Philadelphia police sergeant and father of four, were released from the hospital earlier this week.
Authorities have said all three officers are expected to make full recoveries.

Wishing them a complete recovery!๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

California's Proposed "Billionaire Tax" makes ballot, but backers give Newsom an Ultimatum.

It's official, a proposed one-time, 5% tax on the wealth of billionaires in the state of California has qualified for the November ballot, after backers submitted the required 875,000 signatures. That milestone does NOT, however, mean the measure will be put to voters this fall, as the union backing the measure has proposed a compromise with Governor Newsom, who has opposed the measure - they say they will pull the tax measure off the ballot if Newsom pushes lawmakers to institute a one-time 2% tax on those same billionaires. Newsom's office says they are rejecting the proposal, but with days to go until the June 25th ballot deadline, the fate of the billionaire tax proposal is still up in the air. With more on the billionaire back-and-forth, Cher Calvin and Micah Ohlman are joined by "Inside California Politics" host Nikki Laurenzo. Laurenzo also breaks down Newsom's claim that the DOJ is investigating him and the First Partner, Jen Siebel Newsom, and the growing controversy over "behested payments."
