A restaurant manager in London said he acted on โpure instinctโ when he saw a young girl hanging perilously from the balcony ledge of an upper-floor flat, and he credited his cricket skills with catching her when she lost her grip.
Dimpi Masarang was among the concerned crowd gathered below at street level, and he recorded this footage of the dramatic scene in Ilford.
As the crowd watches on, a police officer arrives below the girl. Heโs then joined by a man identified as Mohamed Jesil. Together, Jesil and the officer catch the girl when she falls.
Jesil told Metro his โcricket skillsโ helped him make the vital catch, and said he reacted on instinct to the scene, thinking of his own twin daughters when he saw the danger.

WATCH: President Donald J. Trump Signs a Proclamation, Jun. 11, 2026 https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1GfpMHXrdj/
POTUS: "We just made a great settlement of the war with Iran, and we're going to be subject to finalization of documents, which should get done over the next few days. We'll probably have a signing, maybe in Europe โ and it's a great thing."
POTUS: "Itโs my honor to be taking this action to lower seafood costs and generate millions and millions of dollars in new business for our really great fishermen by restoring commercial access to three areas of the Western Pacific Ocean."
POTUS: "Under the Obama-Biden Administrations, radical environmentalists drastically restricted access for fishermen in coastal communities, and hundreds of thousands of square miles of ocean was cut off for them... Those decisions closed off vast resources... destroyed livelihoods, and made the United States more dependent on foreign products.
howardlutnick: "500,000 square miles were closed to American fishermen... if you had an American flag, you werenโt allowed there, but of course everybody else was... that resulted in us, instead of having exports, because we have great fishing opportunity, we were an importer. We became an importer of seafood. How crazy is that? The president is finally changing that. This is a massive win for our fishermen, a massive win for our waterfront communities..."
GovDunleavy: "Alaska provides 60% of the countryโs seafood... Fishing in Alaska is one of the oldest industries in that entire stateโemploying thousands of individuals... This is an example of putting America First, workers first, and really this country first."
Third-generation Fisherman from the Pacific Northwest: "This proclamation today... is really going to help us... You giving us access to these family-wage jobs in these coastal communities where we are usually the number 1 or number 2 employer in those cities and counties... I just want to say thank you."
northwesternsig: "I spent a couple of months with you on the Apprentice, and I saw your work ethic there, and I've got to tell you, I can't fathom how you can do all of this... Representing us, and helping the fishermen the way you have done, it is mind-boggling to me, because I know you have your hands full, but putting us on that pedestal and backing up our industry the way you have, is just phenomenal."
Wife of an Alaskan fisherman: "I just wanted to say thank you for your leadership in representing not only fishing families, but the farmers, too."
POTUS tells a Scalloper from New England that he'll "take a look at" a decades-old restriction preventing U.S. scallopers from harvesting in "the best scallop ground that we have in the United States."
POTUS on Iran: "They will not have a nuclear weapon. They've agreed to that... They will not only not have, they will not purchase, develop in any way, shape, or form, a nuclear weapon."
POTUS on Iran: "They've taken a pounding like very few people could take โ and they want to make the deal a lot more than I do."
POTUS, surrounded by fishermen: "These people built the country, not the complainers...they built the country. I watch all these ingrates, they're always complaining, complainingโthey didn't build anything. They couldn't build anything. Look at what's happened in Minnesota."
Q: There's a crazy socialist running for mayor of Washington, D.C. What if she wins?
POTUS: "I wouldn't like it โ and maybe we take back Washington, run it on the federal basis. We won't put up with it. We're not going to lose our businesses."

Weโve just learned that a Toronto Police officer has been shot during the execution of a search warrant and has sustained life threatening injuries. Our thoughts are with the injured officer, their family, and all Toronto Police Service members during this difficult time.๐๐ฝ
The city of Toronto, Canada, is reeling today after the murder of 43 year old Toronto Police Constable Marc Pinizzotto, shot in the line of duty.
Police Chief Myron Demkiw, speaking through tears, said that Const. Marc Pinizzotto and members of the Emergency Task Force were executing a search warrant connected to several shootings that have occurred in the Toronto area over the last 3 months, including the shooting at the U.S. Consulate in March, when he was shot.
Speaking at a news conference outside Sunnybrook hospital, Demkiw confirmed the news with โdeep and profound sorrowโ and said he informed the officerโs family of his passing.
โWords cannot describe the pain they are feelingโฆno words can capture the impact on Marcโs family, who expected him to come home today," he said.
The U.S. Ambassador to Canada, Pete Hoekstra, commented on the shooting, saying that the prayers of all Americans are with Pinizzottoโs family.
โI think it just exemplifies an example of the close cooperation that we have in law enforcement between the two countries,โ he said, referring to the consulate shooting investigation and the search warrant Toronto police were carrying out.
After a series of shootings at Toronto area synagogues, Jewish schools and businesses earlier this year, Toronto Police Service had established a new Counter-Terrorism Security Unit to strengthen its ability to detect, prevent and respond to emerging threats as well as task force to enhance police visibility.
Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, an Iraqi national, was arrested and charged in the United States last month with terrorism offences in connection with the consulate shooting.
Demkiw said the search is on for one suspect, 19-year-old Zara Jabbi. Jabbi, remains at large and is considered "armed and dangerous", Toronto Police Chief Myron Demikw said. โI would ask anyone that would see him to call 9-1-1 immediately.โ
Constable Marc Pinizzotto, a dedicated 18-year veteran of the Toronto Police Service and a proud member of the Emergency Task Force, was shot and killed in the line of duty early Thursday morning. He was just 43 years old.
Rest In Peace, Hero๐๐ค

A former CIA agent is accused of fabricating major parts of his resume, including academic credentials and Navy Test Pilot claims.
Reports cited in the article say federal agents found approximately $40 million in agency gold during a raid, while the current charges relate to allegedly falsified timesheets.
The case raises serious questions about credential verification, internal safeguards, and security vetting inside sensitive federal agencies.
