NEW: The Saline County NE Sheriff's Office says one man is in custody after he resisted arrest for a few hours Tuesday morning and ultimately injured a police officer by pinning him between vehicles.
According to a Tuesday afternoon press release, Saline County police were called to the Crete Walmart at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday on a report of a "suspicious vehicle that had been driving around the parking lot for several hours."
Both Crete and Saline County police responded to the scene, where they found a man, later identified as 24-year-old Enrique Jesus Morales of Oklahoma City, driving an F-250 truck "through the parking lot in an erratic manner." With Morales not responding to law enforcement requests to stop, police eventually deployed spikes to puncture his tires.
Police say Morales drove through those hindrances, and pinned a police deputy between his F-250 and a patrol car. The officer, who has not yet been named, fired his gun during this exchange but did not hit anyone.
Morales was eventually blocked off in the back loading area of the Walmart and taken into custody at the Saline County jail.
The release says the Deputy was transported to Bryan West for treatment, and the Nebraska State Patrol was called to assist with the investigation.
Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for the deputy's recoveryππ½

The Global Eye | Subscribe
Belfast is experiencing significant unrest this evening following the charging of a 30-year-old Sudanese man with attempted murder over a violent knife attack in north Belfast on Monday.
Reports and videos show protests, road blockages, and at least one bus set on fire on the Newtownards Road. Social media footage also claims protesters have established checkpoints in parts of the city, including near the RISE sculpture, and that some Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) housing asylum seekers have been targeted.

CENTCOM statement:
"U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces completed self-defense strikes against Iran, June 9, at the Commander in Chiefβs direction in response to yesterdayβs downing of a U.S. Army Apache helicopter.
CENTCOM forces struck Iranian air defense, ground control stations, and surveillance radar sites near the Strait of Hormuz with precision munitions from U.S. Air Force and Navy fighter jets. The operation was a proportional response to recent attacks on U.S. forces and international commercial ships transiting regional waters.
U.S. forces remain vigilant and postured to defend against unjustified Iranian aggression."
