NEW: North Korea on Thursday unveiled a new facility to produce nuclear bomb fuels, with leader Kim Jong Un announcing plans to bolster the country's nuclear forces "at an exponential rate."

Some experts still question whether North Korea has functioning nuclear missiles that can reach the U.S. mainland. But the nuclear plant's disclosure implies that Kim is eager to cement his country's status as a nuclear power and has no intentions of placing his bomb program on a negotiating table.

BREAKING: Things got heated outside the courthouse as Karmelo Anthony’s murder trial got underway, Brooke Taylor reports.

Supporters on both sides squared off, shouted and antagonized each other. Anthony is accused of fatally stabbing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf during a high school track meet. The case has drawn national attention, with race becoming a major issue. Prosecutors though say this case has nothing to do with race or self defense.

WATCH LIVE: President Donald J. Trump announces clean coal initiative in energy address

POTUS on the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool: "We have it finished β€” and the water is pouring in as we speak."

Republicans must pass the SAVE America Act!

POTUS: "Today, we're taking historic action to bring down the price of energy and the cost of living for all Americans with the power of clean, beautiful coal... As a result of the $700M investment that I'm announcing today, we will protect 14 coal plants and 42 coal mines, and build 2 new coal plants and one massive new export terminal... these actions will support over 14,000 jobs and save the American people $50B in electricity costs."

POTUS: "Today, we're officially invoking the Defense Production Act to save 13 coal plants in West Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Indiana, Tennessee, Arizona, Arkansas, Oklahoma, North Dakota, and Wisconsin."

POTUS: We're taking nearly $200M that was set aside for the Green New Scam, and repurposing that money so that we can restart a coal plant in Maryland, and help build two brand new coal plants in Alaska and West Virginia.

Secretary Burgum: "This administration has done more to save, protect, and expand coal in our country than any administration, perhaps, ever... it's the backbone of having affordable, reliable, and secure American energy."

Secretary Burgum on the McMillan Plan for D.C.: "Between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington Cemetery, at the halfway point, there’s a very large circle. It was designed to hold a monument. The Arc that would go there is a fantastic compliment and completion of this plan [from] over 120 years ago."

Lee Zeldin: "The Democrats were running for power, to sit at this desk, and to leverage that power to destroy these [coal] communities. Enter President Trump. He has saved clean, beautiful coal β€” and it's been an honor to be a part of it."

Secretary Wright: "45 coal plants are open today that would not be open... Where would electricity prices be if we had let all of those plants close? But we’re not doing it... Common sense is returning to Washington, D.C."

WV Governor Patrick Morrisey: "All West Virginians are so deeply grateful to you for your focus on protecting their energy jobs. The coal miners know the incredible importance of why we're here today..."

POTUS on pulte: "He's very smart. He's a person who's got high integrity. He's done a fantastic job... and it's an Acting position. He's not going to be permanent because I don't think he'd want to be permanent. But he's a very smart guy."

Governor Gordon: "When a kid grows up in Wyoming, their education's paid for, in large part, by the coal severance taxes β€” by the royalties that come from mining that coal. That was shut down by the Democrats. When they have a chance to get a job, they can go look to the coal mine, and it’s not just digging coal the way we used to β€” it’s high-tech jobs... it is very, very technologically proficient, and what's more important, it’s environmentally sound."

Jamshid Ghomi, a dual U.S.-Iranian citizen who lives in a $35 million mansion in Orange County, California, was arrested for supplying over 200 tons of sensitive computer equipment to Iran in violation of U.S. exportation laws.

He enjoyed our freedom, lived like a king, aided our enemy, and failed to pay taxes. Thanks to the work of CommerceGov and IRS_CI’s Los Angeles Field Office, he will hopefully be living in a prison cell for a long, long time.

And yes, we’re taking the mansion by having it forfeited to the U.S. government.

As a police officer, not every call is an adrenaline dump of excitement but some are cuteness overload.
Today Officer Aucutt was dispatched to a report of an injured fawn in the roadway near 41st Street and 15th Avenue.
Brenda will rehab the fawn back to full health and when it is safely able to be, it will be released back into the wild.
We assume this deer, having been rescued by an officer will remember our uniforms and in the future will assist us when it sees us in need. So in five years, if you run from us and a deer blitzes out of the woods and rams you, refer to this post. Bambi will be out there lurking!
