WATCH: A viral video from the May 7, 2026 graduation of Chilean Navy drug-detection dogs (Belgian Malinois) shows one aggressively biting and tearing the pants pocket of Vice Admiral Arturo Oxley Lizana, Director General of Maritime Territory, while handlers and attendees intervene in the chaotic ceremony.
The Navy issued a statement attributing the dog's reaction to its age, temperament, and activation level, not drug detection; Oxley was unharmed except for uniform damage, and the dog is under supervision for retraining.
The clip's recent spread has fueled massive online speculation, jokes, and calls for drug testing of the admiral, highlighting public skepticism toward military institutions amid Chile's maritime anti-drug operations.
