WATCH LIVE: VP Vance leads anti-fraud roundtable as crackdown expands
https://fb.watch/HlEr5unnY6/
VP hosts state attorneys general at the White House for a WHFraudTF meeting:
"The resources of the federal government, while vast, can be supplemented and aided by lot of the people... represented here today."
VP highlights the tremendous early success of the WHFraudTF in identifying and eliminating fraud.
And this is just the beginning!
AFergusonFTC: The only way to defeat the fraudsters is by making sure they know that if they try to commit fraud, they will be pursued, arrested, prosecuted and jailed, and that is why the TheJusticeDept has created the brand new National Fraud Enforcement Division...
"Your constituents are American citizens paying for these programs. They expect these programs to be here when they need them, and unless we stop the fraud, these programs will not be around in their current form for your constituents...when they hit hard times."
Stephen Miller at a meeting of the WHFraudTF: "Within weeks of this task force being established, we've seen the largest-ever slate of indictments, recovered funds, search warrants, raids, seizures, investigations, and new legal actions to stop, disrupt, and prevent fraud.
Our country's systems were set up on the honor system. But we became a society β as we've seen with the Somali refugee people in Minnesota β where you have a large number not playing by the rules, and the amount fleeced from us is in the hundreds of billions."
Colin McDonald, Assistant AG for National Fraud Enforcement, addresses state attorneys general: "Hold criminals accountable, protect victims of crime, and restore trust in our government. Come join us in the nationwide fight against fraud. We are ready to partner with you."
VP closes by highlighting an egregious case of fraud uncovered by WHFraudTF:
"That man lived his final moments on this earth neglected, while a fraudster got rich by providing 'services' that he never actually provided. That's what we're trying to stop ladies and gentlemen."

Today is Founder's Day, the 10th anniversary of the creation of our amazing fraternity. It's been a hell of a journey; from a rag tag bunch of 20 guys meeting at a bar with the purpose of getting an intern laid, to tens of thousands of members on 6 continents. From bruises and stitches, to lawsuits, to decades long prison terms, we've seen it all, and we're still standing...and ordering another round.
To all our brothers out there, we lift our glasses to you, for your courage to stand up for what is right. Your mark on history will not be forgotten.
From your Proud Boys of Columbus, we say UHURU! PROUD OF YOUR BOY! π

When danger is present, we run toward it. Not away from it.
Early this morning, we were called to a two-alarm fire at 797 Dillon Way. For over half an hour, we went door-to-door ensuring every resident was accounted for -- knocking down those doors if we had to. Flames spread quickly and we continued to evacuate residents while our partners at AuroraFireDpt fought the fire.
Everyoneβs efforts β from the officers to the firefighters β ensured there was no loss of life or serious injuries.
Thank you all for your exceptional bravery and commitment to the Aurora community not just today, but every day.

Harmeet Dhillon: "The Supreme Court has made clear that commonly owned weapons that are used by law-abiding citizens for legal purposes are presumptively legal under the Second Amendment and so that is why we sued Denver. And then the following day, we sued Colorado for its similar use of semantics."

Please, praying for the Buffalo Police officer who was shot in the line of duty this afternoon.ππ»
Buffalo NY Police are investigating an incident on Sherman Street which resulted in a police officer being shot.
In a press conference, Buffalo Police Commissioner Erika Shields said that officers were called to a domestic incident at 256 Sherman Street.
According to Shields, a male suspect was allegedly threatening another person in the house, and refused to come out of the house. Other family members in the house allegedly urged police to enter the house to diffuse the situation.
"What can best be described as a level of grappling occurred, the officers attempted to get handcuffs on him," Shields said.
The commissioner added that one handcuff was on the suspect when a concealed weapon was allegedly found on the suspect. Shields said that gunshots then rang out, an officer was struck "several times" and other officers then returned fire.
Both the officer and the suspect were taken to Erie County Medical Center which is the Level One Regional Trauma Center for treatment.
Buffalo Police Benevolent Association Union President John Davidson told reporters on Tuesday evening: "The officer is currently in stable condition. We would appreciate your prayers for him, prayers for the ECMC staff, prayers for his family, prayers for all the officers that are out there working in what looks to be an increasingly violent summer in the city of Buffalo."
The officer was not identified and no age was given by Davidson.
