The evening included the lighting of the Flame of Hope, a traditional law enforcement tribute, a gun salute, a riderless horse, and a candlelight vigil honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

We stand united in remembrance, gratitude, and respect for our fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their legacy forward. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.💙

WATCH: President Donald J. Trump, Zeldin make an announcement at the White House

POTUS: Today, it's my honor to be taking a very historic action to substantially lower costs for consumers, protect hundreds of thousands of jobs, and save Americans well over $2B a year by officially terminating the Biden Administration’s ridiculous regulations imposing costly requirements on refrigerators and air conditioners.

POTUS: The Biden Administration "forced companies to adopt specific high-cost refrigerants, massively driving up the price of transporting and storing various goods... Americans faced higher grocery prices and reduced access to critical medical supplies."

kroger CEO Greg Foran thanks POTUS for this historic new announcement: "An orderly transition of equipment reduces both capital costs and operating costs and, at the end of the day, that’s good for consumers because we’re able to take that and put that into lowering prices."

Lee Zeldin on POTUS' announcement terminating costly Biden-era regulations on refrigerators and air conditioners: "Once again, the Trump Administration’s answering the call, which will lower the cost of living for hardworking American families."

Kevin McDaniel, owner of chain of Piggly Wiggly food stores: "We want to thank President Trump for rolling this terrible Biden legislation back because without it, there would have been a lot of independents out of business... it's just not a refrigerant change, it was an equipment change."

"We're actually right in the middle of doing that at the moment," says kroger CEO Greg Foran on lowering prices as a result of President Trump terminating costly Biden-era regulations of refrigerators.

POTUS on Iran: "Right now, we're negotiating, and we'll see, but we're going to get it one way or the other. They're not going to have a nuclear weapon."

"Can they keep their highly enriched uranium?"

POTUS: "No. We will get it. We don't need it. We don't want it. We'll probably destroy it after we get it — but we're not going to let them have it."

POTUS: "I think if Democrats took control of the Congress... and let’s say took control of the country, I think that this country’s finished. These people are sick. They suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome, but really, they have bad policy. They have horrible policy."

If that addict on your street were your own son, what would you do? That is the defining question that guides my 5 step plan to fix the homelessness problem in LA. We *must* end this evil racket of corrupt politicians and NGOs who profit off the misery of these poor souls. They launder money and feed them more drugs, so they can keep their customers locked in this hell on our streets. We have a moral obligation from God to help them and make our city safe and clean for everyone. Karen Bass and Nithya Raman have forsaken this city. Time for real leadership. Time for real compassion.

We are grateful that our trooper and K-9 weren’t injured in yesterday’s crash caused by a driver who failed to yield.

Incidents like this highlight just how quickly dangerous situations can unfold with poor decisions.

Thank you to our partners Douglas County  Sheriff for their quick response and for sharing video that clearly shows the risks first responders face every day.

Crashes like this are preventable. The dangers are real, for our troopers, for other first responders, and for every person on the road.

We’re asking all drivers: slow down, stay alert, and make safe, lawful decisions behind the wheel. Yield when required, avoid impatient maneuvers, and give others the space they need to travel safely.
Smart choices behind the wheel can save lives, including the lives of those who are out there protecting yours.
