BREAKING OVERNIGHT: A Frontier plane fatally struck a pedestrian in Denver as it was taking off for Los Angeles Friday night, according to the airline and Denver International Airport.

The Airbus A321 was taking off from Denver and departing for Los Angeles when the person crossed the runway around 11:19 p.m., according to statements issued by Frontier Airlines and the Denver airport.

The airport said that the person was killed in the collision. The person, who has not been identified, jumped the airport's perimeter fence and was hit two minutes later while crossing the runway, the airport said.

According to Frontier, smoke was reported in the cabin after the collision. The pilot reported an engine fire and canceled takeoff. Passengers were evacuated using slides, then bussed back to the terminal.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms moved through Starr County early this morningβ€”but that didn’t stop the TxDPS Brush Team and the U.S. Border Patrol from carrying out an anti-smuggling operation in Roma RGV.

During the operation, 14 illegal immigrants were apprehended, all wearing colored wristbands indicating payment to the cartel for passage into the U.S. One of the illegal immigrants was also wanted for DWI.

No matter the weather conditions or terrain, our teams remain committed to public safety, preventing gotaways, and protecting our communities as part of Operation Lone Star.

Every year, during the first full week of May, law enforcement organizations across the country celebrate National Correctional Officers and Employees week which began back in 1984 thanks to President Ronald Reagan.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department would like to formally recognize the dedication and service of our Correctional Officers and Employees as the week comes to an end. Correctional Officers, also known as Custody Assistants within LASD, play an integral role in maintaining safety, security, and order within our custody facilities, station jails, and detention areas. Their hard work and dedication, in what is often a demanding and high stress environment, often go unnoticed due to operating behind the scenes. Not only do correctional professionals ensure security, but they are also indispensable in supporting the rehabilitation, accountability, and well-being of those who are within their care.

Without their help, law enforcement operations around the nation would cease to function. This observance provides an opportunity to acknowledge the important contributions of all those who hold the title of Correctional Officers and Employees alike.

Spencer Pratt expertly responds to being asked how he’ll get votes while being called a β€˜MAGA Republican’ in Los Angeles

β€œIt's a nonpartisan race, and the mayor is a nonpartisan race because the mayor is supposed to represent all Angelenos. And that's what I do. All the people I meet with every day are Democrats. It's all the business owners and community leaders, all Democrats. All already voted for me, turned in their ballots early. All my friends and family are Democrats.

My message is about public safety for moms, moms and kids in the park. I will never do national politics. I will never talk about other states.

I'm going to talk about how we fix Los Angeles. So the opposition, Councilwoman Nithya Raman, Mayor Karen Bass, they can say anything they want, but I represent all of Los Angeles.”

The reporter said β€œDonald Trump is not popular in this city”

That’s a lie. The people who oppose Trump are the massive illegal immigrant population and the criminal population that’s taken over

California would have flipped red if not for voter fraud

"God hasn't left us," Pastor Jimmy said. "We're going to rebuild, whatever it takes."

It is truly a testament to faith and resilience when a community can stand amidst devastation and still find a reason to praise. Last Wednesday, a high end EF-2 tornado tore through the heart of Purvis, Mississippi, directly striking Coaltown Baptist Church during their evening service.

I had the opportunity to walk through the damage with Pastor Jimmy Breazeale, who shared the harrowing story of how more than 20 members were gathered for a meal in the fellowship hall just five minutes before the storm hit.

A Moment of Divine Protection

As the sky turned dark and the winds began to roar, the congregation moved into a central hallway to seek shelter. Pastor Jimmy described a scene of incredible faith: as the walls shook and the roof was torn away, the members stayed on their knees, singing "Amazing Grace" together.

Despite the extensive damage to the church buildings and several vehicles, not a single person was injured. ---

Key Takeaways from the Walkthrough:

The Power of Community: Pastor Jimmy noted the immediate outpouring of support from neighboring churches, like Okahola Baptist and Good Hope, offering their facilities for future services.

Resilience in Action: Despite the loss of the newly renovated fellowship hall, the church remains undeterred. "God hasn't left us," Pastor Jimmy said. "We're going to rebuild, whatever it takes."

A Message of Hope: The church marquee outside remained standing, still asking the poignant question: "Are you listening?"

It’s moments like these that remind us of what truly matters. Buildings can be replaced, but the spirit of this community is clearly unbreakable. Please keep the Coaltown Baptist family in your prayers as they begin the journey of rebuilding.
