Today, on the National Day of Prayer, weβre reminded of something powerful: God hears us when we pray β and He responds. ππ»
As our nation celebrates the 75th annual National Day of Prayer and looks ahead to Americaβs 250th birthday, this moment feels especially meaningful. Itβs more than a tradition β itβs a sacred reminder to turn our hearts toward the Lord.
Prayer isnβt our last resort, itβs our first response.
Wherever you are today β at home, at work, at school, or on the go β take a moment to pray and invite God into every space of your life.
God, we trust You.
Heal our land. Lead our hearts. Be glorified. πΊπΈ

On May 1st, Viviana aka βViviβ joined our family, and our hearts instantly exploded with love. π
She is perfect and healthy, and her big brother is joyfully adjusting to life with his new baby sister. We are enjoying every moment in our blissful newborn bubble.
Thank you to everyone who reached out with prayers during my pregnancy - I truly felt them throughout the entire experience. God is Good.π

SoCal forecast: A high-pressure system coming in from the west is going to drive temperatures up over Motherβs Day weekend. Conditions will be very summer-like with come inland communities reaching the 90s.
NorCal forecast: Warming into the 80s on Thurday. Expect a pleasant start to the day with mostly clear skies and light flow from the Delta helping keep the morning cool, but the afternoon will be warmer as a ridge of high pressure moves overhead.

NEW: Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost to Resign
GOP Sen. Brenner sees 'a bunch of appointments' ahead
COLUMBUS, Ohio β Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is expected to announce his resignation from office Thursday in a development that caught plenty of people at the Statehouse off guard.
Statehouse officials and one elected official told The Ohio Press Network Wednesday evening the scuttlebutt: Yost would resign. Ohio State Senator Andrew Brenner (R-Delaware) told OPN that he assumes Yost will go to the U.S. Attorney's Office or Deputy US Attorney General. Brenner also stated the announcement could trigger "a bunch of appointments "[Keith] Faber to AG, [Frank] LaRose to Auditor, [Robert] Sprague to Secretary of State and [Jay] Edwards to Treasurer.""
The Columbus Dispatch reported the breaking news early Thursday morning, citing two sources close to the situation. Other outlets, including the Statehouse News Bureau, reported that Yost is resigning to accept a private sector job after more than two decades in state government.
OPN reached out directly to Attorney General Dave Yost Wednesday morning but did not get a response. OPN also reached out to Steve Irwin β Yostβs Communications Director β and left a message but no return call was received before this report published. OPN learned last week that recent Communications Director Bethany McCorkle left the AGβs office for another gig.
Yost, a Republican who has held the statewide post since 2019 after two terms as state auditor, is term-limited and cannot run for re-election to the AG post in November. He launched a gubernatorial bid last year but stepped aside when the state party endorsed newcomer Vivek Ramaswamy. Governor Mike DeWine will now have to appoint an interim attorney general to serve out the final months of the term that ends in January 2027.
The potential ripple effect is exactly what Brenner flagged. With Faber already the GOP nominee for attorney general and LaRose, Sprague and Edwards positioned for other top jobs, one resignation could quickly open a string of vacancies that DeWine would again fill by appointment.
Efforts to reach DeWineβs office for comment Thursday morning were not immediately returned.
This marks the latest shakeup in Ohioβs constitutional offices, following DeWineβs earlier appointment of Jon Husted to the U.S. Senate (after vacated the seat following being elected Vice President) and Jim Tressel to lieutenant governor to fill Hustedβs post.
