MacArthur Park was packed with federal agents and the LAPD today, but ask the people who actually live there what happens next. By nightfall, many of the same dealers, gang members, addicts, and predators will drift right back into the area like nothing ever happened. Thatβs the revolving door Los Angeles has allowed to grow for years.
This isnβt just about one park anymore, itβs about an entire city slowly becoming numb to lawlessness. Residents are exhausted. Parents are tired of explaining to their kids why drug deals happen in broad daylight. Business owners are tired of being abandoned. Good people are tired of feeling like criminals have more freedom than the families trying to do the right thing.
The reality is harsh: temporary crackdowns without long-term action change nothing. The city cannot arrest its way out of this problem one afternoon at a time while failed policies continue fueling the same chaos. Real recovery requires sustained enforcement, tougher action against repeat violent offenders and traffickers, investment into treatment and mental health services, and leaders willing to stop pretending this level of disorder is acceptable.
Los Angeles was once seen as a city of opportunity. Now too many neighborhoods are becoming symbols of neglect, addiction, and fear. The people who still call these communities home deserve more than empty promises and staged operations. They deserve safe streets, functioning parks, and a city government willing to fight harder for residents than it does for politics.

Today we gathered to honor the brave men and women of law enforcement who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our communities. The Peace Officers Memorial stands not only as a tribute to their courage and dedication, but as a reminder of the responsibility we all share to support those who continue to serve and protect.
We remember the fallen, we stand beside their families, and we renew our resolve to uphold the values of service, sacrifice, integrity, and community. Their legacy will never be forgotten, and their commitment to protecting others continues to inspire us all.
May we always honor their memory not only with words, but through unity, respect, and unwavering support for those who wear the badge today.

MUST WATCH: Spencer Pratt just DESTROYED Nithya Raman who was trying to convince LA that he and Karen Bass are teaming up against her because they have a better chance against each other.
Pratt: "First off, Mayor Bass and I are definitely not working together. I blame this person for burning my house and my parents' house and my town and my neighbors down. I am not working with Mayor Bass."
"Second off, if I wanna run against anybody, it would be the councilmember who is terrible. Mayor Bass has at least been a mayor for almost 4 years and has, as she talked about earlier, the unions, all the unions endorse Mayor Bass. Do you think it's easier to run against the incumbent mayor with all the unions or a random city council member who's been a failure for 6 years? I would MUCH RATHER run against Councilwoman Raman! Thank you very much."

On April 28, 2026, at approximately 4:18 PM the CHP San Gorgonio Pass received a call for service regarding a driver who was going into labor and was requesting medical assistance on the Interstate 10 westbound Cherry Valley Boulevard offramp. Upon arriving on scene, Officer Simmons was directed to the driver in distress by family members, and without delay our officer put on his proper protective equipment and began assisting the driver. At approximately 4:31 PM, Officer Simmons helped deliver the baby boy named Sonny on the side of the off-ramp prior to the Calimesa Fire Department arriving on scene.
Mom and Sonny were then transported to the San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital, where they are doing well.
